Americas Best Value Inn Historic Clewiston Inn

The historic building built in the 1930s is cool. It still needs upgrading in some respects but it is great how they have vintage furniture and memorabilia around the lobby and hallways. They have a basic continental breakfast, with a waffle machine, offered in their dining room that is better than the grab and go bags at other economy hotels. They upgraded our king room to a king suite with separate living room and bedroom both with nice large TVs. The mini fridge was a bonus. The location in Clewiston was perfect. We took a nice stroll around the park.

The bathtub looked as if it had been refinished once or twice and needs it again. The hot water heater took forever to warm up and never really got hot (old building and plumbing I guess) The breakfast bar had cream cheese, butter and other condiments but they were in large shared containers rather than individual packaging People had dug in and the packages had been opened a while and a bit dried up. It looked very unappetizing and unsanitary and we avoided that so, no bagel.

It was a very nice place, staff was friendly and it was pretty clean. I found out it was "hunted" a little before I got there and was excited to see a ghost, we asked staff how true it was and he even showed us a paranormal investigation that was done in 2009 which I thought was fun! I would definitly stay here again!

Room was a little small and the bathroom light would occasionally not want to turn on. Though out the night there was some noises that would occasionally wake me but nothing too bad. I didnt see a ghost so wasnt able to prove it was real.

The staff was super attentive, nice and professional. The cable was great and kept the kids entertained. The location was perfect and the outside was beautiful and peaceful. Went out for the day and came back to fresh linens and garbage changed. The bed was comfortable.

The shower curtain had mold on it. The room was dusty especially behind the bed. The curtains were dirty and had stains on them. The furniture was very dated and had a tear in the arm. The room was quite small.

In the 70's my grandmother use to work here at the Clewiston Inn.I have always wanted to come inside & look around, I only made it to the kitchen were she would be working. So now that I am an adult. I finally rented a room here for a whole week. Ilove it here and would highly recommend Clewiston inn is where you want to be. #Historical 😍😍 The manager and staffs are Amazing... My 9 year old is also with me said Mami I love it here they just need a Pool...😄😄

It has the character of an old colonial home. The owner was very pleasant. He was still working on making things perfect, I believe it was a new acquisition and everything was slowly coming along. He's doing a great job and I enjoyed my stay.

No elevator. For a man with severe arthritis getting up and down the stairs can be difficult.

At least at this hotel, the rate was fairly priced, due to the fact it’s a older building… so I was not surprised at seeing certain things, it was clean/ comfortable for an overnight stay, staff was very accommodating and friendly! I would stay there again just to support the hotel and give it my business.

The bed was very hard, that’s my only concern.

Our stay was due to displacement from our home and I am disabled. I booked the stay from a Monday to a Saturday no knowing how soon we could get somewhere more permanent. we got to check out 2 days earlier but I was only refunded for one day rather than two as a early cancellation of a booking.

The location was great. The young lady, Yesenia, at the check in counter is absolutely great. She represents this hotel quite well and speaks very highly of Clewiston Inn. I think it's great that she is like that; she made us feel welcomed. She is very kind and helpful. We have already booked our next stay there!!

I understand they are slowly reconstructing the rooms however I think that they could use new towels and a new shower curtain.

I like the comfort of the mattress and is very clean.

I didn't like the staff at the cafeteria they don't pay attention, something u needs something they not there to help you.

This was an old hotel which had all the antique furniture, we met the new owner who could not do enough for us he and the staff were excellant. Well worth the visit, Continental brekfast in the morning was good.
