Sonesta Chicago O'Hare Airport Rosemont

Our large family group was traveling internationally (in and out of O'Hare.) We had a health emergency that was serious enough to involve a hospital visit. The front desk at the Sonesta was incredibly helpful in arranging the transportation to and from the Emergency Room visit (and the aftermath stay). The Sonesta staff made many helpful suggestions regarding which drugstores would be open late, on weekends, etc. They ensured the room was ready for the traveler in our group with these exceptional needs. Five stars for the helpfulness and concern exhibited by the front desk staff.

This is a great hotel with friendly and welcoming staff and lovely rooms. The bar and restaurant attached to the hotel are lovely but the restaurant isn't cheap. I would recommend it to anyone thinking of stopping over in this area. However, there is not very much in the local area so i would recommend it if you have your own form of transport, i.e. car etc.

The lifts were a little slow during my stay however this was resolved before the end of the week. There isn't very much within short walking distance however so this hotel would be best for those with a car or happy to take taxi's etc.

Very convenient airport shuttle. The shuttle from the O'Hare airport to the hotel was packed full of people, so I had to wait for the next one. However, the waiting area at the airport is covered with an indoor, sitting option, too, so it wasn't such a bad wait.

Because it's so close to the airport, it's a popular place to go when flights get cancelled. In my case I had to wait in line for 20 minutes during check-in because so many people were arriving at the same time. But it was worth the wait!

Room was good, staff were good.

That there were two Sonestas so close! I accidentally put the wrong Sonesta into the Uber request and almost got dropped off at the wrong hotel. Also, I called the day before to ask if I could just drop my bag off at the hotel as I arrived early in the day. I didn’t want to have to carry a suitcase to museums and a concert. The answer was I had to call back again the next day and try to get an early checkin and I was told I might have to pay an extra 25$. This just seemed absurd to me that an airport hotel didn’t have an easy hassle free way to accommodate something like that.

I liked that the two queen bedroom had separate rooms for the beds. Beds were comfortable. Location was close to the airport and absolutely wonderful that we could walk to the car rental building. The front desk staff was very good and friendly.

It was a nice back-up plan for a quick meal, with access to a little mini mart of frozen foods in the lobby area with self check-out, but would have preferred a more casual dining choice other than the Harry Carey. But we did order food from there and it was very good. When we first showed up, the check in line was huge. I think it was for last minute customers whose flight was cancelled or something and all or most of the people did not yet have reservations. I wish they would have invited those who already had reservations to the front of the line to check.

Close to O’Hare and good shuttle service. Got good rate through Booking.com when I prepaid after my flight was cancelled last minute.

No food options except Harry Carey’s restaurant and minimal snacks for Purchase. It’s hard when you want something inexpensive and easy but have to go to restaurant that’s pricey. Also, they would only give me receipt for their taxes and not for what I prepaid to booking.com. I want to request reimbursement from Southwest Airlines and need a receipt!

I did get a rate adjustment for the internet and phone system malfunction. Also, the room was clean and bed comfortable.

The phone system and internet were down. Not knowing this, and coming back from Europe and arriving at the International Terminal, the instructions from the Booking.com said to call ahead to the hotel for the shuttle to pick us up. I tried to call from London several times before the flight left, and then again upon arrival, but got no answer. So we had to take an Uber to the hotel. When at the hotel, I found out that the phone system and internet were not functioning.

This was a great choice for a one night stay before a flight. Staff was friendly, and check-in/out was easy. The 2 queen bed room has a separate room for one of the beds, but you have to access the bathroom through that room. There is a small refrigerator and a microwave in the room, and the hotel lobby has a shop for snacks/essential items. The bathroom was a decent size and the shower had excellent water pressure. It was nice to have the Harry Caray restaurant on site for breakfast and dinner. We really appreciated having the airport shuttle, which ran every 30 minutes. It was on time and efficient!

It's a bit dated and the carpet was a bit old in the room.

Everything, the moment we checked in the staff were lovely and accommodating especially coming from being stuck at the Kentucky airport for 16 hours. Arriving and being greeted kindly by staff turned our entire trip around Checked in to the rooms and the space was AMAZING the amentities and the comfy beds were beautiful. I will definitely be booking back there if I am ever in chicago again.

convenient to O’Hare

We reserved & paid for 2 rooms. Arrived. Told, “I know you have a reservation and paid for 2 rooms, but I can’t give you a second room.” Why? “We have rooms available, but they are coded for guests with status. I can’t give you one. The computer won’t let me.” What the whole heck? I’m not sharing a bed with my coworker here. You have rooms, I paid for a room, give me a room. “Sorry, I can’t. I would have to get a manager.” Then go. Get. A. Manager. Good grief, really? A manger was found. She swiftly resolved the issue. There was no soap in the bathroom, but at least I didn’t spend the night spooning a coworker. The pandemic has been hard, but come on. COME ON.
