Baymont by Wyndham Harlan

We always stay here when we come to visit family in Harlan. Always clean and comfortable and a reasonable price. The room with one king bed is a nice size and has all the amenities we need--small refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and hair dryer. Breakfast has hot items as well as the basic breakfast foods.

Our room smelled a bit musty when we entered but we opened the window to air it out. I would prefer to have the bathroom sink in the bathroom area but this one is in the main room area. The rooms next to the highway can be somewhat noisy when big trucks and semis go past; ask for a room opposite of the highway. The breakfast area is relatively small but good enough.

The room was clean and the towels were nice. I was very happy with the quiet location of the motel somewhat off the beaten path.

I took an accessible room for the price and the shower was lacking. It took over 7 minutes to get warm water and the water sprayed into the rest of the room. But, still I did get the shower I wanted and I was very happy with the quiet location of the motel somewhat off the beaten path.

The area seemed safe. We got in late and there was someone at the front desk all night. The room was very clean

We were moving 2500 miles and although the moving van took most of our stuff our SUV was also packed with things that couldn’t go in the moving van. We couldn’t park near the room and had to pile everything on a cart to take inside. We couldn’t organise everything out in the parking lot so we had to pile EVERYTHING on the cart.? Very disorganised. Wish we would’ve been closer to the room and able to just carry things in what we needed.

The rooms and lobby area were very clean and comfortable. The outside area was pretty. There were flowers growing in the landscaping. All of the staff members were helpful and efficient. We stayed here for a funeral and it saved us lots of extra driving. Harlan is a sweet town full of friendly people.

Convenient and well maintained. Rooms were cool on a hot day. Pretty landscaping and in a nice area.

The breakfast was so so. No eggs. Lots of carbs. The staff was great, they moved my room from the 2nd floor to the first because there wasn't an elevator. Great water pressure in the shower.

Very clean. Harlan is a nice small town with a great dog park!

Pool was closed I assume for cleaning. A bit of a drive (10 miles) from I-80, but worth it for price, safety, and cleanliness.

Our room was very clean, and the bed was comfortable.

The rooms do not seem to be well insulated, and therefore we could hear the guy upstairs talking on the phone and walking across the floor in the middle of the night.

The location was good. Staff was friendly. Room was fairly good sized.

There were cobwebs where the walls meet the ceiling. No luggage stand. Refrigerator was small. Toilet didn’t flush the best. The floors were vacuumed, but you see the carpet needs shampooed. Pool wasn’t open. For stay over guests. The rooms aren’t cleaned daily

Good location. Easy to find. Plenty of parking. Helpful front desk clerk.

After check-in, I discovered the TV was "off line". It would power up and offer menu choices, but it would not tune in any channel. The front desk clerk tried to fix, but no luck. He assigned us to another room and the TV there was working. I went to the original room to collect our things and discovered that the TV had begun to work! Long story short, we kept our original room and and had no more problems. Breakfast was okay but nothing to brag about.

Everything was clean. Check-in and check-out went smoothly. Although we have stayed here several times, I still had to give them all my information.

Everything was fine. Just nothing extra special. Iowa had lifted all COVID precautions which is a great concern. No one was wearing masks and the breakfast was open. We did not partake.
