The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was clean, and had a very nice shower. There was even a kitchenette, which was a nice surprise. We stayed two nights. It is an older motel, but don't let the first impression scare you. We would definitely stay there again.
It could use some exterior fixing, but that doesn't affect a good night's sleep.

Beds were very comfortable. The Chief Motel has very good tv service and actually very good tasting water. Very helpful staff and very courteous. Would definitely stay here again.

The owners were awesome for local geode hunting information with brochures.
Not having a coffee maker in the room, but across the street was Scooters Coffee drive thru, that hubby went to for ME.

Internet worked in the evening but not the next morning. Floor in my room was "mushy". Very disconcerting to walk on, especially in bare feet.

The people in the room next door smoked in the door to their room and the cigarette smoke came in our door. We thought it was a non-smoking facility. They charged me $15.00 for my dog to stay with me when their website and guest brochure in the room said it would be $5.00.

It was easy to find, and there were pamphlets about geodes in the area. So we checked out and went geode hunting the next morning. Thanks to them, we found some great ones to take home.
