Belva Deer Inn

The staff was extraordinary! Our son got a stomach bug from something he had eaten and vomited late at night. The night desk lady, was fantastic! She went above and beyond by washing my son's clothes and his stuffed animal for us. She even went into the dining area and got him some bread for his stomach. She was extremely kind and thoughtful. This hotel excels at customer service and cleanliness! We will without a doubt stay here again.

Very friendly staff greeted me, it was a last minute check in so it was late when I arrived. The room was very neat& clean. Had a refrig, with very small freezer( could put ice packs in)& coffee pot, microwave, blow dryer, cable t.v.& a few hangers, complentary soap& shampoo,(if you forget yours), Nice sitting area. Also the sink area is separate from the bathroom,(especially good if there are two of you),Sink area had very good lighting,& nice big mirror, (for us ladies to put makeup on). King Bed was comfortable. Plenty of storage for your things. I used the continuous fan with aircondioner, as I forgot my fan, it worked well, slept very good! Every where I looked in the hotel was very clean & inviting! Price was Great too! In morning came dwn to a a cheerful staff to start my day! I would recommend this place, not fancy, but very nice! Thank U Belvedere & staff!!

The stairs, they weren't bad, just that my luggage was heavy. But there are stairways on each end, so staff told me which was closest to my room, which helped.

The hotel is a nice destination for us bicycling from Iowa City, with a comfortable and clean rooms. The breakfast is reasonable to get you started with your day.

Most everything was great except when traveling by bicycle it is important to take our bikes to the room for safety. In the morning we were rudely told we shouldn't have had our bikes in the room and their is usually an extra charge for that. I have traveled hundreds of times with bicycles and brought them to my room and have never encountered something like this.

Super clean rooms and grounds. Quiet even though next to Hwy. Comfy beds. Staff very friendly. Good value. Not a hot breakfast but some decent choices. We’ve stayed several times. Would stay again!

Limited rooms if have dogs. Otherwise all good.

The room was clean, comfortable and the shower had plenty of hot water!

The only thing I can complain about and it isnt a huge deal but the shower had an excessive amount of caulk around the bottom edge to try and seal a large gap.

On the main drag in Sigourney, so easy to find. The staff was so accommodating, as we arrived late at night on several different nights and there was always someone to open the door and check us in.

More fresh fruit and a bigger selection of tea for breakfast would have been nice.

The location was central to my reason for staying. The staff is super friendly. The rooms are clean and spacious. Great water pressure.

Great updated look, friendly staff and room was nice and clean and well priced. I appreciated the three queen beds. You don’t see that often!

With COVID the breakfast was obtained in a bag. It was all ok, COVID, I get it... but my family member was in a wheelchair and they didn’t have an elevator. We had the one room that had three queen beds (5in our party), so we couldn’t change rooms. But luckily she’s small in stature and able so we were able to get her upstairs.

Family in Sigournet, way better than the other motel in town. Breakfast okay

I forgot to ask for a ground level room. The room we got was great but older people prefer no stairs

Rooms were clean and staff was helpful.

Only negative is when I checked in. The individual that helped me wasn't the friendliest but was helpful.
