Best Western Angus Inn

I have stayed at several hotels in my travels but, I have to say that this hotel way exceeded my expectations. I walked in the rooms and was immediately blown away by how clean and fresh smelling it was. It was very much inviting and spacious. Bathroom was clean and so was the sink area. Like I said, I've been to a lot of hotels, but this one was by far the best. I will definately be recommending this hotel to everyone I know who may be traveling through Great Bend.

The only issue I really had, that wasn't anything major, was the air conditioner fan made a lot of racket but, it came and went so it wasn't constant.

It was clean when we 1st got there. But they had a party in the Big Room next to the pool and the renters group trashed the place after it was a done deal the next morning my family found party toys and trash, wrappers candy stuffed in pockets of the pool table. More than half the arcade games didn't work anyway, but trash behind the machines. The pool was warm, a blast to play and splash in. The hot tub was hot and felt wonderful. The beds I thought were clean and comfortable, very please in the room and the staff that checked us in. The staff that was there the morning to check out were upset about other guests in the hotel. And in voicing their opinions, I didn't enjoy hearing. And I think one may have been a manager. Never did see the face of her. She never looked over the counter to say good morning. The coffee machine in the front office was a favorite. Wish I had one at home. Super nice. The water, yogurt, and fruit were complimentary..bonus! Cleaning ladies I saw were friendly and sweet. I would come back and plan to.

Very nice, convenient hotel that offers meal discounts and a breakfast voucher for two restaurants next door. Our room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. This hotel is pet friendly with a nice designated area to take your dog or simply walk in the surrounding neighborhood.

Nothing in particular other than the previous occupant left the alarm clock set for 3:30 am and that was unpleasant surprise.

you can tell that this was very popular in the 1960s. But it is kept up and clean but still has the character. There’s a hot tub that was hot and a swimming pool. The breakfast was great. They had free water, coffee(espresso )and yogurt in the lobby all day and night and in the morning they added fruit and bars but they also included a breakfast meal at the diner across the parking lot. It was wonderful. I wanted a safe clean place to stay and this was that and more. We really enjoyed our stay. oh, and the staff were very helpful and friendly.

Breakfast was great. Beds and pillows were great too. Staff was very welcoming and friendly.

Carpet in room looked old. Someone had a dog that barked 3 times while we were there. One time was a little before 10 pm. It woke my husband up. It was in the hallway so would have been better for them to have had an outside door.

Nice, friendly staff. Clean rooms. Nice sheets on bed. Big room. Good water pressure in shower and nice shower head.

A few minor things: the toilet wasn't level; I made coffee in the room and the creamer curdled; air conditioner worked well but was loud.

Lady at the desk was more than helpful with everything. Couldn't believe we had a FREE Breakfast. Ate at Pages restaurant and got a 10% discount per our visit at the Best Western Angus Inn. The room was nice and clean. Best Western has come a long ways from back in the day.

Noisy kids and loud speaking adults at 1:30 AM. Hard to sleep through the noise. Walls were paper thin as we heard a man with sleep apnea next door snoring and trying to get his breath after choking on his tongue. Also, could hear him peeing in the toilet in the middle of the night. Really?

Free breakfast was nice but we were unable to use because the time ended before we could get a family with small children ready to go. A deadline of 10:00 would have been more do-able. Cleanliness of room was very nice! Carpet was clean and not damp or sticky--thank you!

Clean-up from a party the evening before began right outside our door very early the next morning. It was so loud that it was impossible to sleep. Also, most of the vending/game machines in the common area did not work.

The breakfast was wonderful at Perkins....think more hotels should do this!!!! It gave business to Perkins and it worked well for the hotel.... We were delighted with our choices, too!

Everything was great. The staff was absolutely wonderful. Very friendly and helpful. The grandkid and I loved the pool. Everything was clean and comfortable - we both slept great. The property was quiet.
