Warm, friendly "just right" interactions w/ staff, clean facility and space, large, combined breakfast space/dining area, at least1 staff was always at hand to assist IN dining area; sufficient and orderly location of trash receptacle; interior space and guest room spacious and clean; check in-out was orderly; pleasantly quiet at night.Personal touches of attractiveness throughout,e.g. small vases of flowers in hallway, large pots of flower at front entrance.Modest but well-stocked shopping room. Convenient location.

Breakfast was substantial but eggs were somewhat uninviting.Age is beginning to show, perhaps a paint touch-up might be in order.

The staff was beyond friendly, helpful. Ever single person who worked there. The breakfast was excellent. Had popcorn handy 24 hours and always fresh. Hot chocolate always handy. Nice little gift store. We went there for snowmobile trip. Very easy to get to trail. Gas and food right next door. Plenty of trailer parking. Rooms plenty of room. Refrigerator, coffee maker and microwave in room. Every part of this lodge was clean..Loved the hand painted pictures in lobby and the fake palms. Staff was always cleaning. We will definitely stay here again.

It was so perfect I had to think what I don't like. Only change I would suggest is make shower curtain rod, the curve one- to give more room. But this was nothing that was a big deal

The beds were very comfortable, the room spotless, and the breakfast was bountiful and delicious! The staff are very friendly and eager to accommodate their guests. Special recognition really needs to be given to Deb, the manager - she not only runs an efficient, well organized business, but does so with genuine warmth and friendliness to provide a home like, relaxed atmosphere for all. We will definitely be going back!

So glad we booked here! Becky and Deb made us feel comfortable the moment we arrived. The dining area was very practical and welcoming. A fully stocked snack area was perfect for traveling along with the free breakfast. The beds were comfortable with plenty of comfy pillows. Even though they were remodeling, the workers outside were respectful and quiet. Clean, comfortable, quiet and a good value. It was a great base camp to be able to get to Tahquemenon, Crisp Point and Paradise. Loved the green moose with red boots at the entrance. Can't miss it that way!

Super friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast. Room was nice and clean. Would recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in the Upper Peninsula.

Door to the outside did not lock. Rooms were being cleaned early in the morning. People could have been spread out more in the hotel. Someone was put in the room next to us late at night and it was really loud.

The breakfast was incredible, the staff were extremely pleasant and all the little extras made it wonderful.

My room was never cleaned. I was there for 7 nights and was shocked that no one came in to empty garbage, change sheets or provide clean towels. I know if I'd asked they would have but shouldn't have to.

We had a great stay here. The bed was very comfortable, the breakfast had a good variety and was kept clean and stocked, room was clean and the staff was superior. They don't pay those girls enough. We used the lobby each day to relax in and enjoy the popcorn. The staff was very nice to us, they helped us find places to eat and things to do. We would stay here again.

This is nothing they can control. We were there in the winter and there were a lot of snowmobilers that stayed there. (They were all over town.) I have nothing against that until they start making a lot of noise outside the hotel late at night. The snowmobiles are very loud and I think it's unnecessary to run them back and forth by the buildings at night. I would still stay there again.

Indoor pool has been decommissioned. Free breakfast is about the bare minimum. When booking the hotel it the website said there were a only a couple rooms left ......... when I arrived there were hardly any other guests ........ which would seem to be unusual for July.

Front desk staff were not friendly or helpful.

Staff were awesome. We were on a motorcycle and they let us park under the canopy on a rainy night. They even have rowels available to dry off bikes. Breakfast was above average but nothing special. Looks like they are in the middle of remodeling. Interior spaces were fresh and mostly clean.

Price was a little high but was in line with others in the area. The stairs to our second floor room could use some cleaning.

It was convenient to area attractions. It is nicely maintained and very clean. They are adding a beautiful indoor pool and the lobby is nicely done. I was expecting a lodge but it’s basically a standard white wall hotel inside. Nothing that screams lodge except the beautiful fireplace in the lobby. We had pictures of roses in our room. I did appreciate the mini fridge, microwave, and lots of cable channels. The staff was friendly and helpful. Compared to other hotels in the area, the price on Booking.com was by far the best for a clean, and mostly comfortable room. The A/C was good and the fan provided plenty of white noise.

Continental breakfast was mediocre at best. The waffles were terrible; very dry and way too sweet. Stick with a toasted bagel and coffee. Luckily there is a McDonalds a few miles away. The beds were okay, but they could really use a mattress topper. We kept waking up aching and having to change position constantly. One issue with the area in general was lack of restaurants. Between Covid and increased unemployment, most places have shut down, or you show up and see a sign on the door “closed: lack of staff.” Two were closed on Mondays. We had one option left for a meal outside of buying a frozen dinner and popping it in the microwave.
