Ramada by Wyndham Albert Lea

The hotel complex is not new, but the condition of the property was really good. In fact, as I drove up my first thought was, "Oh, great, and old hotel." But when I looked closer the exterior was dated but in very good shape. When I entered the lobby I was greeted by a 80/90's retro hotel that was actually kind of cool. The lobby furniture was actually quite cool. It was retro and in great condition. As I looked closer I noticed how clean everything was and how well cared for the place was. That experience was the same when I entered my room. Finally, the breakfast was really good. They even had an automatic pancake maker!

The only things I didn't like were the toilet was small and took a lot of water to flush, and the in-room A/C unit was quite loud. I am sure I could have asked to move to a different room, but nothing was annoying enough to ask for a different room.

This is an older but still nice property. It was clearly an upscale hotel in its younger days - attractive granite tile floors in the public areas, etc. While we did not use the indoor pool, it is very attractive and was being enjoyed a great deal by others. The room was very clean and comfortable, with good fixtures and comfortable beds. It was also larger than most motel rooms with two queen beds.

As is typical of older properties, there were not as many electrical outlets as is generally found in newer construction. Still there were enough for our needs. Breakfast was quite ordinary (no hot dishes except waffles, although there were microwavable "omelets" and oatmeal) but better than many.

Friendly staff clean rooms. The pool was good and clean and the hot tub was a bonus. Rooms were clean and beds comfortable. Restaurant was closed but the one across the street had amazing food and they have a complimentary breakfast bag which we took as snacks for the road. We wanted extra bedding and pillows and the guy at the reception was courteous and friendly. Will stay here again if in the area.

Amber at the front desk was super nice and made our check in very easy.

Found an M&M on the floor so apparently room wasn't thoroughly cleaned. Not a big deal normally but it was my tiny shihpoo puppy that found it. That could have been a dangerous situation if we didn't see her licking it and grabbed it away before she ate it as chocolate is dangerous to dogs.

This is one of the best hotels for the price I have ever been too. Dont let the outside fool you it is amazing inside!

The pullout couch wasnt too comfy, but the room was amazing and the bed too! I didnt sleep on it so I cant complain but my son wasnt a fan of the pullout. Dont let this be a reason to not stay here because they have an amazing hotel

The rooms were clean

There were a lot of customers smoking marijuana in the building, we wanted to use the pool Saturday am but the doors were locked and the sign said they opened at 6am. The shower didn’t drain effectively and the smoke alarm had a plastic bag over it. Obviously cuter at some point was smoking pot in the room.

Everything else! Clean bathroom with great water pressure... Which is top priority, very inviting... Not smelly like a lot of hotels. Great staff and very accommodating. There was some miscommunication with booking and they were booked solid but were able to fix this issue seamlessly and more than made up for any confusion! Thank you Ramada for being more than just a place to lay my head!

The only thing for me (personal opinion?) Too many tables in the room and took up a lot of the space. That was the only think i didn't like... Very minor

Rooms were comfortable and clean. Location was nice and staff was courteous.

The hotel photos gave the impression that there is a pool. Kids were disappointed when I had to tell them there was no pool available. The guy in the front desk apologized and gave a discount which I appreciated.

we had a room with an adjoining door to a room next to us and you could hear everything as a door is very thin in about an inch and a half gap from the floor. kind of outdated doors. should update those doors so more peaceful when you’re sleeping.

The service was exceptional. The Guest Service Rep who checked us in was phenomenal. When we had an issue with our internet, they came right up to let us know they were trying to get a resolve. They gave us information regarding the area and how to get breakfast. And overall the friendly demeanor was welcomed after a long, tiring drive.

Issues with internet, but they tried to resolve it asap.
