The rooms are amazing. Some resorts in the area are outdated, but Quarterdeck is very clean and modern. The fireplace and jacuzzi tub in the room made our stay amazing. Beautiful lake front views from the room and balcony. Staff were very inviting and helpful. Beachfront chairs and tables with built in fire pits for the guests. The attached restaurant had great food and live music. They have elevator access to all 3 floors which was important to us because my wife uses a wheelchair. Nice gift shop, free coffee area, and a vending area that is paid with the honor system. That alone made it feel more like a family run resort, than a business. They are building a whole new area with a pool and tons of amenities. Very excited to come back next year and enjoy the new additions. We stay in this area a few times a year, and we’ve stayed at 5-6 other resorts. This is by far our favorite and we will definitely be booking our stays here from now on.

The location and facility were awesome. We stayed in the Oak room, corner unit. It had a fireplace, an amazingly sized deck, deck seating, a kitchen sink with a fridge and dishes, and wonderfully comfortable beds. The bathroom was decent sized and the flooring throughout the entire unit was neat, new, and clean. The onsite restaurant, Dock 77, had a great selection of food items and a decent tap list. The weather was great so we were excited to see that the bar had garage doors that opened up to outdoor setting near the marina and beach. They offered items for breakfast, pizza, and coffee near the front desk and had a gift shop called the Port Hole. The location on the west side of Gull Lake was just busy enough to not feel overwhelming.

There isn't a whole lot not to like about this property. One was the insects, not that the property can control this, but there were these little black lake flies that were everywhere. While they can't control their existence outside, there were congregations of them inside on the windows, in the corners, and on the railing of the deck. I'm not sure if they could be vacuumed up or something but it was a drawback. The other drawback was we had a window on the west side of our unit that faced the parking lot. There is a deck there that has lights on 24/7. At night, even with the blinds closed, it lit up the entire room.

Beautiful lake view from rooms that were clean and comfortable. Bath towels were larger than the standard you get in most places. Friendly staff, enjoyed the convenient on-site dining, and the live music was great. Nice swimming beach for the kids. Had a great time.

No complaints.

This is the second time staying at the Quarterdeck. The first time we stayed the staff, management, and facility were all top notch. Second time was just as great. Room was clean, staff and food were excellent. We usually travel up once per winter for an event. This year, we will be returning for our summer vacation.

The only thing that could improve this resort is a pool. In the summer, the lake will do. However, the kids would love a pool during the winter.

This place and staff actually make you feel like a guest and a friend, not a client or a dollar sign. Most of all I liked walleye Dan he was super friendly and helpful when it came to fishing, even offered his help anytime I'm in the area. Couldn't ask for a better place or staff.

The lake was still frozen lol but that's not the resorts fault but they still helped with other open water

The location right on the shore water’s edge of Gull Lake is outstanding. The private balconies overlooking the lake, the fireplaces and jacuzzi tubs in the rooms are terrific amenities. The food was delicious and the staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful.

Breakfast wasn’t included. Dan at the front desks was great. Friendly and accommodating.

We forgot the plug into the wall for our phones. Only had the cord/cable to plug in. Dan looked all around but couldn’t find anything so he plugged it into the computer. Would be nice to have a few spare plug for the outlets for guests. Most places have that in the rooms now.

We had excellent food in the restaurant. The walleye was the best I have had. My daughter’s steak was very good too.

We were in a room above the band that was playing. Fortunately they stopped so it did not effect our sleep time.

the property was exceptionally maintained, not only did it look nice, but it was very comfortable as well. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating, the restaurant on site had the best brunch I have had in a long time, and the views and accessibility to the lake are so beautiful and relaxing!

it is a bit of a drive to town if you don’t plan on spending all of your time there, but it is worth it!

Limited breakfast. Good coffee in the room.

A noisy location! The manual said quiet hours were from 11pm, but music was blaring right under our room balcony with absolutely NO staff around to ask for quiet. Eventually the music went off, but not before we were worried we'd be up all night.
