Best Western Plus Great Northern Inn

Loved this spot so mich we booked it again on our way back home (same trip). Staff are amazing and personable. The place is spotless, breakfast is on point with abundance of fresh options. We love the annex building option across the street. Stayed there the first night on our way out west. The rooms are huuuuge with hard wood flooring. All new. Stayed in the main building on our way back and just as clean and new but a little smaller and carpeted. 10/10 recommend. They give you a bunch of coupons for nearby restaurants and there is laundry service at the station next door with equally nice staff.

Peg. I had made my reservation in August. my family was placed in the annex. I didn’t want a room without carpet. when I asked to change Peg was very rude- the lady that helped me was helpful and kind. we had a three day reservation but we gave up our 3rd night in order to be in the actual hotel. I was disappointed that we were not offered any sort of refund or anything. I was given a small lecture by Peg but not directly to my face more towards me and to the front desk worker about how in the hotel “I’d only get 2 queen beds and I should have made my reservation sooner because it’s a big wrestling weekend” I reminded her I made my reservation in August 2021-and wrestles don’t bother me. that is why we were there.

The staff was great and went out of their way to help when needed. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

The breakfast was not to my liking. I thought the bacon was terrible and the eggs, and hashbrowns, could use some improvement. They were prepared alright but the quality was lacking some.

Staff was excellent, both morning shift and evening shift! Room was a great size and very clean. Lobby and dining room were clean and refreshing. It was nice to have a hotel offer hot breakfast again after COVID concerns.

There were items missing in the room like channel guide and phone book, however we realize it's likely a COVID19 precaution. (Staff went out of their way though to help us with those items!) Windows were old and thin so we could hear the highway noise.

Staff was very friendly,( shout out to Tom) room was very nice and clean.The pool and hot tub were fun and clean. Had a little drink in the hotel pub. Friendly bartender & good drinks. There was a good restaurant across the street. Breakfast was really good.

Breakfast was put together with such thought and care. It was abundant for a hot continental. It was clear that whomever is in charge, she puts time into considering every food item that could make a guest full and ready for their day.

Pleasing light, modern decor. Rooms were large. They supplied 2 racks for suitcases, comfy chair. The beds and pillows were very comfy and the room was quiet. The breakfast area was spotless with the usual food offerings. We did not use the pool or fitness equipment but the areas were clean. There is a small bar and casino next to the pool area.

Hard to find something I did not like so if I was being really picky I thought the coffee was weak.

Was right next to a train depot and was quieter than we thought!

Was there for 2 nights and had to get new keys made for second night - not really a big deal, just the only thing I could think of.

Breakfast was best on our 3700 mile trip. Pool and hot tub good. Good location. Staff was helpful when there was a mess up on reservation.

No complaints, we were concerned being so close to the rail yard about train noise, but never heard anything.

The room was clean and comfortable. It had two sinks which is so nice cause your coffeemaker isn’t in the bathroom! Also loved that there was a convenience store, laundromat, and gas station right next to hotel.

Can’t think of any negatives.
