Cactus Petes Resort & Horseshu Hotel

Desert Room (restaurant) had alright food, a little bland but not the worst thing we ate on our trip. The slots were fun to play, and after about an hour of playing, a cocktail waitress finally made her way over for drinks.

The room had an old smell to it. Reminded us of grandma's attic, a little musty, and a little like moth balls. We would have appreciated having a fan in the bathroom for showers and having a couple of extra pillows. There was one per person and all other hotels we stayed at had 2 pillows per person. There were also no extra blankets in the room and the AC was blasting when we arrived. It was 26° and snowing outside... :-\

Clean, comfortable, and quiet. I was given a room close to the elevator so I didn't have to walk long distances. Both my wife and I have leg issues. So, this was a plus.

For having a room in a non-smoking are, we could still smell cigarette smoke at times. We also, came upon a lady whose was smoking in the elevator. This was the first time in a while that the room did not have a microwave. Found this odd. Could have used a hand bar or rail in the shower. Just a thought.

The room and hotel were very clean and comfortable. I felt the prices were too high for the only coffee shop available to eat at - $20 for a hamburger! The slots are tight but I already figured that would be the way since it is such a remote area. Free soda and coffee machines are always a plus. Pool area relaxing and lots of areas to kick back at and read a book. I will be back, just not for the food.

We stayed in the Horseshu Inn facility across the highway, not in the casino tower. We have overnighted here multiple times while traveling to southern Nevada and it is a very good value. Desert Oasis restaurant in the casino is a good place to have a reasonable meal - always good. Rooms are always clean and beds comfortable.

Entry doors are not locked.

Spent one night passing through from Las Vegas to Seattle. Great spot. Excellent location (just off the Highway 93), Very clean, large room. Good restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Comfortable stay.

Only one restaurant was open at this time, but fortunately the menu items were diverse and food was delicious. Service and wait staff were very good.

We were in the hotel across the highway from the casino hotel that we thought we were staying in. You had to check in at the casino and drive across the street to the other hotel. They didn’t have refrigerators or microwaves in the rooms. No outside security locks on the hotel entrance doors

The room was quiet, the bed was clean and comfortable enough and there was coffee. The shower had a good water pressure and the shampoo and conditioner worked well in the morning.

The restaurant we went to in the building had horrible food. We got a steak and loaded potatoes, and the steak didn't taste like it had even been in the presence of any sort of seasonings.

Passing by on the way to Vegas from Washington. Unfortunately we didn’t arrive till after midnight and we were only staying overnight (car trouble) so we didn’t get to swim or anything. The room was clean and comfortable, we had a great breakfast downstairs and everyone there was wonderful. Definitely will have to come back.

Free coffee and soda all day/night. Cafe available if you want to eat. Quiet Casino if you like to gamble...but smoky.

The directions we got were a bit confusing to get to our room. Eventually, we found it. We didn't see any luggage carriers near front door to make it easier to get our luggage to our room.

The room, although dated, was very clean. The beds were very comfortable and I’d stay there again now that I know what to expect. The main hotel which has the casino and restaurant was also very clean and the restaurant staff was very friendly.

It was our first time staying in Jackpot. We didn’t know that the hotel I booked was across the street from the main hotel, so that made it a bit awkward to bring in your luggage to the main hotel, check in, and then have to put your luggage back in the car and rive across the street. The rooms need to be updated with more outlets or usb outlets. That can easily be done with adding lamps that have outlets as part of the feature. In today’s electronic world, having my cell phone across the room isn’t convenient.
