Super 8 by Wyndham Jamestown

The beds were terrrific! Soft but firm and very comfortable; exceptionally good for a budget hotel. And the bottom line on a hotel room is how well do you sleep, and that means the better the bed, the better the experience. So, though the place is a little worn, their focus on the beds is the right strategy.

The shower valve could not mix hot and cold water, so it only gave out really hot or really cold water, and was therefore unusable (but a bath would have been possible). Not a big deal. I mentioned it to the person at the front desk who said they were aware of the problem and were waiting on a part (perhaps they shouldn't rent the room out until they get the part). But this was a minor inconvenience.

The room was clean and comfortable, the staff was very pleasant. There was a set of lounge chairs that were especially comfy in the room.

Our one and only issue was the tub surface. My fiancee nearly fell because it was very slick. Some refinishing perhaps would help, we are not elderly but I would have concerns about elders using the bath/shower.

Wonderful little kitchenette and a full size refrigerator. I stayed during the historic blizzard and they very graciously allowed me to extend my stay twice.

Minor issues, batteries in the remote, almost all my coffee was decaf, coffee pot was missing the basket. A quick trip to the front desk solved these. The kitchen area was not very well lit.

My wife and I actually got a call from front desk person at Super 8 telling us that they had overbooked the motel. They asked us a few questions and then said they would move us over to the EconoLodge which was right next door to their motel. Same price as Super 8 motel and they also provided breakfast. My answers above actually pertain to the EconoLodge motel instead of Super 8.

the location was perfect , the room was so nice, best night sleep at a hotel….

I didn’t like that the tub didn’t have and non slip stickers.. I nearly fell while in the shower.. next time I’ll call and see if this is fixed before I book a room again

Staff were lovely helpful people. It was convenient to the interstate.

Our bathroom desperately needed an update, but our family members across the hall had a beautiful new bathroom so I guess they must be in the process of doing this! People loitering in the parking lot and not sure if the side doors locked at night.

The front desk was very helpful. The room was very clean and beds were comfortable. Quiet there, slept very good. For the money it was above what I expected. Thank you it was the best stay of my trip from WA to MI. Out did alot of the more expensive places.

Building was worn on the outside. Which made it look bad.

Close to restaurants and shopping destinations.

Breakfast variations, bananas or some fresh fruit, but always had hot coffee, toast and spreads. Fresh milk and cereal. It worked to satisfy morning fueling. Fine and dandy.

Check in guy was really nice. Beds were great. Nicer than I expected for price. Good location, close to interstate, gas, restaurants.

Bathrooms were a little old, but they were clean. I’m sure it takes time to make updates.

Not expensive, but nice, clean, with good breakfast (although their waffle maker was out of service, waffles were available in the other hotel across the parking lot), pet and in particular cat friendly. Nice place to stay for a night with your family and your pet

Only one minor thing. The coffee was too diluted, they promised to fix it right away in a very nice manner, but we did not have time to wait.
