Holiday Inn Express & Suites, Corpus Christi NW, Calallen, an IHG Hotel

We really appreciate how cordial the staff was ! I can’t remember the name but the lady was very polite, pleasant and friendly . Anytime I had a question she was there with a smiling face and was so humble ! I vaguely remember that her name was Esabella or so . Breakfast was great and staff was so accommodating to wait till we grab the items when we reached 30mins before closing . That was very kind of them infact . They had variety items as well . Pool was great and so was parking . Rooms were neat .

The only two things I was not that happy was their washing machine was out of order and that was the only one available for the guest and then there was no safe locker in room to lock our valuables when we were going out. I still managed without washing machine but the absence of sage locker was a big blow as we ended up carrying things with us wherever we went and it was so difficult to do so !! What hotel do we have now without a safe locker in room except some low rated ones ? So please fix that one . So, apart from that and washing machine , everything was great about our stay in this hotel .

All the hotel staff was very friendly and the front desk staff was always asking if we needed help if we were in the lobby more than a couple of minutes. Breakfast was good and the staff member in charge of it was on top of everything, making sure there was plenty of fresh food available to all that came in, along with keeping the dining room very clean. Her friendliness made for a more pleasant dining experience.

The opportunity for my son to get a military discount for his room because I booked our reservations through Booking.com (and it could have been something I overlooked) but otherwise the staff and stay was great.

beds were comfortable Not a luxury property but that’s not to be expected at the price point. It satisfied our needs I really only had contact with the lady at the front desk. Her name is Viviana… Professional, courteous and friendly Nice to have a hot breakfast

The main thing that I did not like was that there was just one remote for the TV. There should have been two. I was traveling with a friend and we were sleeping in separate beds and it would’ve been nice to have two remotes. That’s it

The location was great, Wal-Mart directly across the street. 20 minutes from the Mcgee Beach. The hotel breakfast was good, good variety although they didn't have bacon, it was good. The staff was very friendly, the hotel was clean and smelled so good.

The pool wasn't the best looking, so we didn't use it.

I liked that it was clean and the beds were comfortable 😌 the person who checked us in was so amazing she made me feel welcomed . Our hot water did not run out after my long shower which is a plus for me any day that I have driven all day!

I didn't like that the two toilet paper rolls I had were almost out when I got there but I didn't thinkit we would run out by 8 am the next day when we had to make a trip downstairs to ask for another roll 😐

The staff was the highlight of the place. They remember who you are and greet you each day. The room was nice. It appeared to be very clean. They seemed like they had a lot of covid safety procedures like sanitizing, staff wearing masks, and hand sanitizer readily available. The location was very convenient for what we needed.

I loved this place but if I were to nitpick, I would say parking is a bit tight. There is only one elevator so most people park on that side. We always found a spot available but there are only a few spots near that side.

the room was clean. the bed was comfy. our location was right across from a walmart and we had access to everything we needed.

the breakfast was basic. I wish there were more choices but I can't really complain it was included in our stay so it was nice.

Beds, pool, location, staff

Pool needs to have a closer restroom and towels available by the pool. Also, a shower near the pool would be awesome to rinse off any chlorine or dirt to avoid bringing debris to pool and keep it clean.

The breakfast was delicious and hot. Good selections and plenty for everyone. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The facility was exceptionally clean and well kept. Would definitely highly recommend.

Good breakfast. Great location...close to Walmart. Easy access to freeway. Night staff welcoming and breakfast lady awesome.

Stains on curtains. Slight musty smell but not enough to ask to be moved. No bacon on breakfast buffet.
