This was my husband and I first time staying in Emory so we booked here at Bent Tree not knowing what to expect, but when we arrived which we arrived a little early and the room was not ready but Angela the manager was great and she made sure we were comfortable until our room was ready. She was willing to put us in another room just to relax and get out of the heat to wait. She was very accommodating with everything. Whenever we called about something she was there within 5 minutes and that was a shock to me and my husband due to our last experience with other places we have stayed. The location was perfect for what we went there for and we will definitely be going back to Bent Tree when we are in Emory. Angela made us feel very welcomed and that to me is a good feeling.

This was a last minute trip to Canton. We stayed in Emory, TX because that was one of the only places left to stay on such short notice. We did not get it the motel until 10:45pm. The owner greatest us with smile and thanked us for staying there.
There isn’t anything I can think of that I didn’t like. It was very clean for an older motel.

I like the ac, it kept my room cold all day and night. I like the microwave, TV, and small frig in the room. The full pot of coffee in the room was a great addition. The best of all was the ac. I do have to mention that the staff was very friendly.
Improvements are needed. Update the furniture and maybe matching furniture. If using old furniture, steam clean it to get the stains out. Upgrade the bathroom. Maybe wash the walls, window, and door. Do a fresh coat of paint. Steam clean the carpet. Update the bedding. An alarm clock would be nice to have in the room as well. It smelled like it use to be a smoking room. It has a stale smell.

The bed was the most comfortable I have slept in at a motel. The air conditioner kept the room comfortable. The furnishings had age, but everything was very clean. The owners are very friendly and accommodating.
The room would be more comfortable with a comfortable chair or love seat. The parking lot is rough.

The property is quiet and the room spacious. The room rate is reasonable and convenient drive to Canton. Front desk (Mary?) was friendly and helpful.
The rock road was rough to drive, some spots grass grew over and wasn’t sure if it was road. Ice machine was out when I was there. The shower head is terrible.
