La Quinta by Wyndham Port Arthur

Very confortable place, and great morning shift staff!

Night Shift staff was very rude and unprofessional. When I went to the front desk to ask for a couple of bath towels, she asked me in a very rude manner how many were in my room, plus she was on her cell phone and never ended the call to take care of me, as she went to grab the towels she was talking to the person on her phone. I guess she didn’t like that I came right when she was on her lunch break eating. Other than that, everything was great.

The room was fully furnished with a kitchenette and all the necessities. Everything was neat and clean. The staff was great! Very friendly and eager to help.

The bathroom toilet was backed up the whole time we were there. They tried to resolve the issue but was unable to. It was no fault of theirs. They were very apologetic because they could not resolve the issue. The plumbers worked on it the whole time we were there.

The breakfast was very nice. My husband selected some fruit and muffins. The location was ideal. We had to attend a funeral was the purpose for the stay there, But if the need ever exists to go back we will certainly chose this hotel. Maybe for the PNG 50 year Class reunion that had to be put on hold due to covid in 2020. Now rescheduled for Spring of 2021 I believe.

The hotel is undergoing improvements , but it really was a nice stay.

Room was good but as it was on 1st floor , our view was not good . My room also was missing hair dryer which I requested at the reception and the staff was courteous enough to bring a new one . Breakfast was good & healthy choices were offered . we also had a blast at pool . Amenities were good .Beds were comfortable.

The hallway carpet needs replacement .

Very comfy bed and pillows! Nice breakfast. Clean. Staff was helpful and gave us a better room when the first one was not cleaned.

First room had an unmade bed and bathroom with dirty towels on the floor.

The cleanliness was amazing. The breakfast was delicious and so many varieties. Was very impressed.

Booked online was under the impression it was 2 joining rooms. Come to find out it wasn't so had to rent another room. Receptionist was in training and was phenomenal. The other lady that was there was no help when I asked about the confusion with room and was on her phone and was a little rude.

Leaving

When I went to check in First no one was there so long we were going to leave but we were so tired we waited the asst general manager was not very welcoming at all she acted like she was doing us a favor and did not want to be there very unprofessional behavior would Not recommend staying here.

Everything

The fact that the clothes hanger was in the wrong place. No room to move around the ac unit. Needs to be moved to the mirror next to the front door.

Breakfast was very nice. Snacks in the lobby are a good idea.

There was no one at the front desk when we arrived for at least 5 minutes. Plain crackers would have been nice in the lobby store.
