Beautiful grounds and really authentic feel. The staff were just the best and really helpful. The area is beautiful and perfect for dark skies and a hop to the national park. There's lots of food options and the deli was well stocked, the restaurant's staff were just lovely and they had a great selection of wine. There's enough on the site to keep you entertained during rainy days and the morning coffee is brilliant.

The monopoly on food, fuel and excursions mean everything is really expensive (but a must do whilst you're there) $100 for 2 hours of paddle boarding each, fuel is $5.36 a gallon and dinner will set you back roughly $30 each for a main course.

We had dinner at their main restaurant; the staff was incredibly attentive and friendly. We both had salads with shrimp and it was excellent. The view is beautiful! Prices were on the high end but not overly expensive. The room was beautifully decorated in a “ western motif”; very tastefully done with great attention to detail. The shower was spacious and the rain head was awesome, powerful and really hot. Bed was really comfy ( high ), and the sheets were nice and soft.

Room was really dark in the evening; not enough lighting. Also room was difficult to get to as you had to drag your wheeled luggage over stone to get to the walkway and then the walkway was an uneven concrete so you still couldn’t pull your luggage along. I made special arrangements because my husband has some difficulty walking (walks with cane) and this didn’t seem handicap accessible to me. He only has minor difficulty; if someone was in a wheelchair this would be extremely difficult to navigate.

beautiful location and setting, lots of nice landscaped outdoor spaces

several things were not working: the Pizza oven at the Pizza place, there was no heated pool near our accommodation ( only pool was in the RV park) and there was no hot tub (maybe one in the paid spa). reservations were required for dining in a nearly empty dining room, one table at the outdoor dining bar was old, dirty, and cracked. Lights in bathroom in room not working (they fixed it quickly) some paint peeling in room - the place needs some TLC considering the prices charged.

The bed was very comfortable which is hard to find. The room was nice with plenty of space. There were several food options onsite which was nice. The pizza was delicious. The resort itself was very charming and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the area. Although we did not participate, they had a vast selection of activities on the property. They really had everything you needed onsite. Beautiful views of the desert and mountains. It was a relaxing oasis in the desert after a long day out at Big Bend.

Although warned there was no elevator, the stairs going up to the 2nd floor of the main lobby were very steep. They did offer help with the luggage so we should have taken them up on it. When we went to check out the pool the water looked cloudy and in need of cleaning. A little disappointed because it was a nice pool area and would have felt nice on a hot day. They were also understaffed in the main restaurant. Although the food was good, service was slow. My husband had an issue with his meal, but nobody came back to check on us, so he just ate it. The waiter did apologize and removed the meal from the ticket. Overall I think they just need to do a little updating here and there.

The location was great for our trip to Big Bend National Park and Big Bend State Park. The staff was very courteous and helpful with our needs. The environment at the bar was welcoming and fun, and the check in process was easy.

The walkway is outright dangerous to use unless you are looking down the entire time to account for all of the dips and rises. The signage for the lobby is non-existent, and our GPS had us go across the street. The Bakery was out of kolaches AND cinnamon rolls when left at 8:30 AM.

The staff was very kind and helpful. The resort offers many activities which allow you to truly enjoy and appreciate the area. My husband and I did the zip lining and paddle board tours. Both activities were very fun, provided gorgeous views, and the guides were extremely helpful. Overall this resort made for an awesome experience!

The restaurant onsite seemed to be a little overpriced and the food was just okay but the views from the restaurant were beautiful.

Fourth trip with Lajitas. We never plan ahead more than a few weeks so we miss opportunities in the park. Forty miles from the park means getting an early start, particularly when it is a crowded week like spring or Thanksgiving or Christmas week.

The faucets handles set in stone need some work. We do not care for the extremely rustic limestone paths throughout the property. They are asking for falls/accidents. Lajitas needs someone who can operate the theater screen so the guests can take advantage of that amenity.

The location of the property is nice, and the size of the rooms is comfortable.

Cafe/Deli advertised options that in the end, they didn't have. For the level, accommodation cost, and standard of the property, the food options and quality of the food and liquor/wine available were poor. Check-in was 4 pm to the minute, while bookings.com advertised it as 3 pm; there was no real effort to get us into the room any earlier. The outdoor furniture was dirty.

Located in a very remote part of Texas but convenient for Big Bend National Park. The hotel has a number of amenities including golf course, pool, spa and restaurant/bar/cafe options. Rooms were excellent, big bathroom, clean, comfy bed.

I would not say it was value for money, it's very expensive even for a basic room and we didn't have breakfast included. Pool does not have a life guard/staff in attendance and no beverage service. Different areas of hotel are not very walkable with a stroller.

Location is amazing! The views was awesome, the rooms are build in old cavalry post and the swimming pool is really nice but crowded on sunday. The golf court is wonderful, even if you’re not a player is advice to look around. Also the resort offers so many activities and 3 different types of restaurant ( main restaurant, pub and bakery). We’ve been for breakfast and dinners in the main restaurant, not the best ratio costs/quality, but the views both during sunrising and sunset was awesome and unforgettable! Not all waiters are friendly if you don’t leave a big tip!
