Sunglow Motel

Clean, refurbished, good bed, shower hot, TV many channels. The owner is very nice and accommodating. The attached restaurant has a good selection of American menu items, including a great range of delicious pies, as well as an authentic Armenian/Middle eastern menu which was a surprise. The waitress who works there is a gem, she makes everyone feel special. I would definitely recommend staying here rather than Torrey. There is a gas station/general store across the road as well as a coffee shop/bakery a few hundred yards away. Prices are good too

Motel was about 15 minutes from the national park so it was very convenient. Their motel rooms have been recently completely redone. They are modern, and VERY clean! We had a great dinner at their motel restaurant (don't miss the PIE SAMPLER and be sure to read all about their pickle and pinto bean pie. Mmmmmmm!). Love the QR code to access the wifi. Wifi was a good speed. Great beds, large and thick towels, and room had a fridge and small coffee maker. The a/c was a silent wall unit with a remote (awesome!). Loved sitting outside in the morning before we left.

There are a few convenience-type things that would make this place a 10. First, it desperately needs a place to hang clothing, coats, etc. Next, almost all motels in this category offer a small microwave so we really missed this feature. In addition, there is only a desk chair in the room. Another chair of some sort needs to be added so two people can sit. Also about sitting, there needs to be more little tables outside each room with the chairs. Lastly, in order to have privacy here, you have to completely close the window shade which makes the room very dark. Most motels have a lighter window shade that provides privacy, but still allows light into the room. This would be an important feature to add.

The room was updated and very clean. After hours even though there was no one inside the office, they are just a phone call away as they live near the motel. BONUS: If you like home made pies, they have them here. 30 years of award winning pie making. Unfortunately they only sell the whole pie and since we were traveling by motorcycle, we had no way to transport it.

Nothing much to say here except that if you want to have dinner, all restaurants we would find open were about a 10 minute drive away although it was very scenic!

It was very clean, the staff was friendly and attended it well. The heating/AC worked quickly. It was well stocked, the internet worked very well and I wanted for nothing. It even had some quirky design elements that made it fun. I stay in cheap motels all of the time and I'm just happy to have towels-- this didn't feel cheap at all. I

It took a very long time for the water to warm up and it didn't stay warm for long, but this is the only thing it had in common with other motels of the same price. Otherwise it was better than some more expensive ones I've stayed in.

Convenient location when visiting Capitol Reef. Comfortable beds. It was very cold outside but room was warm and cozy with a remote control thermostat. Shower had good water pressure and hot water as soon as it was turned on. WiFi was fast and easy to use.

Didn’t know to check in at the restaurant so it took a little while to figure out where to go. Restaurant is not open for breakfast (neither is anything else nearby). Couldn’t get warm water from the sink (though shower water was nice and hot).

We were very pleased with our stay here. it’s obviously an older property but oh my goodness. The room was nicely remodeled and very clean. This motel is in a perfect location for Capital Reef National Park and would make a good base for Bryce Canyon as well. You have to drive a bit to find food but the restaurants in the area are worth the drive. Don’t judge this book by it’s cover, this is a great place.

Staff and neighbors were nice. The room was a little quirky but clean and usable. This was just an overnight stay so expectations were not high. We found we had a flat tire on the Saturday of a 3 day weekend. Were able to get it fixed and on our way within an hour. Everyone in the town was helpful.

We got in late, so we didn't make it for dinner and were disappointed that the cafe wasn't open for breakfast. We were told that it would be opening the next week.

The room was exceptionally clean and had been renewed in style and good taste. The bed was very comfortable. Good location for day trips to the many amenities of Wayne County, Ut. Great menu at the restaurant, and the food is well presented and tasty. Definitely a place to go back and recommend.

The restaurant, as many others around, is closed on Sundays. I'll recomend a shared area with a microwave oven and 2-3 tables for night snacks and Sunday needs. It will certainly helps families with children.

I arrived late after 8pm for check-in but was received very warmly and could even get a take-away although the kitchen/restaurant was already closed. The motel was totally refurbished two years ago and the room was impeccable. I appreciated the little details such as the possibility to make coffee AND tea.

No breakfast option.

The owners were very friendly and accommodating. The room was extremely clean, welcoming, and comfortable! The motel rooms had been recently updated and that made our stay more appealing. The attached restaurant was very good as well. We arrived late, but still got a home-cooked meal with friendly service.😁
