Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Evanston, an IHG Hotel

Rooms were modern and clean. Staff was super friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Breakfast was hot and decent. Not the best but way better than the grab and go breakfasts most chains have reverted to. Location was perfect. Close to town, right off the freeway but didnt hear any traffic. The beds were very comfortable. Bonus - I appreciated that the shampoo and conditioner were full size pump bottles in the shower. I hate the little bottles as they are useless for families. The front desk also gave us complimentary travel sized tooth paste because we forgot ours. Very grateful!

Hot tub water was a bit murky and the jets were subpar but it was open and worked! The rooms felt a little tight but were clean and comfortable..

I was not happy that BOOKING.COM cancelled my reservations in the 20 minutes from the time I booked the room to when I got to the hotel. I get to the hotel and BOOKING.COM cancelled me....thank goodness the staff was quick to get me into the last room of the hotel. We were stuck in town due to a SNOW STORM. NOT HAPPY WITH BOOKING.COM

The property was well located. it was very quiet in the rooms even tho the facility was fully booked. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast had many hot selections and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here again.

We had a double Queen room and one of the bedspreads had spots on it…not sure if it was stained or just not clean. It gave me an uneasy feeling. We slept in the other bed.

I absolutely loved the pillows. The floors were sticky. I have a cleaning business and I clean with water in a steam cleaner to make the floors super clean without product on them. The bed was nice but comfortable seating would be nice. Remember you are competing with vacation rental houses. The tv selection was limited. I absolutely loved the breakfast choices.

Easy to get to- great spot for heading up to Fossil Bluffs National Monument. I really like that Holiday Inn Express has gone sustainable with toiletries. No little one use bottles of shampoo. The shower is stocked with full size bottles of Dove products. I am a fan of anything to reduce waste. This is a plus for me.

Breakfast was pretty good. We got down a little late but everything was still warm. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean. We requested to be away from the elevator and not on the ground floor and were able to have that request fulfilled. Staff was very friendly. After staying at this location and another Holiday Inn in Idaho Falls, I've decided that this will be my go-to hotel when I need accommodations. Both were very clean and comfortable.

We only stayed one night and I didn't find anything that needed improvement.

I wish there were a good coffee shop close by. There are places to eat within walking distance, but it’s just burgers and wings. I didn’t feel comfortable going in them. It’s nice to have something within walking distance.

Everything! Very clean - looked brand new. Very friendly staff. Good location along our route from Denver to Seattle. This is now my go-to property for road travel. One bonus - breakfast was served until 10 AM. Every other motel we stayed at quit serving at 9 AM. The breakfast was good too.

We will not stay here again due to the customer service we received from one member of the staff. There was confusion upon checking in. When our office manager called to inquire about the confusion, this person offered no apology nor did they own they possibly had a part in the mix up. I realize they couldn't make a reservation adjustment or offer a credit to the room, but I felt they handled the situation poorly by not at least acknowledging the error or offering an apology.

Great breakfast

At 5 AM, I awoke to a dog bark. I thought it was strange since there is signage that indicates violating the 'No Pet' policy would result in a $250 fine for guests. Upon checking out, I related my experience to the desk clerk, who let me know there were SEVEN K-9 units staying at the hotel with us. I realize these trained officers are not pets, but they have some of the same characteristics used to ban pets from the hotel. Barking is certainly one on that list.
