Golden Beach Motor Inn

This was my first time visiting the local area, the premises was clean, modern and not a large complex which I like. Was quiet and the rooms super clean and modern, very impressed. The bed was comfy, I prefer a bedhead when there is a brick wall behind it but I knew this, just a suggestion. The AC was good and nice and quiet and was turned on before arrival which was great. Wi-Fi good, parking at the door is great. The room had all the facilities needed. Adrian at reception I spoke to on the phone and in person was lovely and friendly.

The only thing that I would change is the very mini soaps, shampoo and conditioner, the larger wall containers with the products are more expected these days.

We just arrived in Australia that morning coming from Belgium. We suffered severely because of the jetlag and travel fatigue. So we arrived too early at the motel to check-in. But we were given a free upgrade to a vacant family room, so we were able to rest immediately. Thank you so much. The bed was very comfortable and large. In the evening the motel was quite and peaceful. We were able to get a good night rest. The room had all the facilities needed The motel is close to the beach. Thank you again for your kindness and hospitality.

The very helpful, friendly owners. Traffic noise was a lot quieter and for a shorter period than other motels I have stayed at in the past. The closeness of food, other outlets, pubs and of course the beach. The owners accommodated us parking two cars in a spare under cover car park there an my daughter stayed the second night. Everything in the room worked. Tea and Coffee provided. Room was clean.

As an observation the tightness of the entry from the main road. Not much can be done about this as I think it would be a local council responsibility and is it close to a Bus Stop. Took a while for my daughter and I to get used to the left handed and right handed taps in the bath room?

- 1 night booking is available - very close to my destination - cost effective - clean and spacious bathroom

- lots of dust and small rubbish under the bed - big gap between main entrance door and the floor (so any creatures can get inside the room) - big window is just near the entrance, but you need to close curtains all the time, otherwise people from outside can see your whole room

The lady was very friendly, offered to change my room to one with a renovated bathroom on the first floor (I am sorry, I don't recall her name). I declined though, as I have trouble with stairs at the moment. Great location, close enough to everything. Parking right out front of the room on the ground floor. Bed was very comfy compared to other places I've stayed at in the past.

I could hear some other people through the walls at times, but luckily they quietened down at a reasonable hour. It is a little outdated, but I only needed a bed to sleep in for the night, and the comfy bed made up for it haha. And to be honest, I'd rather stay in a place that has a comfy bed

The kitchen was fully equipped with toaster, water boiler, microwave flatware and cutlery, and sponge. The room was spacious and had table and chairs as well as a wall-mounted TV. They have on-site washer and sink for the staff, but when I asked if I could use it they said I could during staff hours (9-6pm)

Central location was excellent .The Indoor Sports Stadium where we were attending each day was only 400m away, and plenty of food outlets, Woolworths was just 5 minutes walk away and we had excellent coffee daily from Zeraffas just around the corner. The boardwalk and beach were only 7 minutes walk. The room was clean, the shower was hot and the bed was comfortable, and Tony, the host, was welcoming and friendly. What more could you want.

Noisy guests.

Check in was easy, the person at reception was friendly. The room was clean and tidy. The aircon worked and they had a fan as well. The bed was comfortable. The tv worked. There was tea and coffee available. The shower was good, the water pressure was good.

That my parking spot was not available when I checked in. I had to park on the grass.

The hotel was very close to basically everything you could need, a pub, woollies and other shops within a 5 minute walk. The shore was about a 10 minute walk down the road, and then only a short drive to shopping centres and other attractions. The room itself had everything you could need with super comfy beds, lovely bathroom and a little kitchenette. Staff were helpful and lovely too.

+Stayed in room 11, a newly renovated room upstairs. It was small but very clean with room for two chairs and a bench. New and spacious bathroom and a very comfy queen bed. It was only a very short walk to a coffee shop and mexican restaurant in one direction and to the Caloundra indoor sporting stadium in the other direction. Staff were very friendly and helpful with eating recommendations.

With the window open it was quite noisy from motel guests and the street noise.
