Grande Florida Beachside Resort

We are happy with our booking with Grande due to reasonable price having a contained Kitchen ,Spacious Lounge , Bathroom clean Wardrobes , kids enjoyed the Night Swimming Lagoon and Friendly staff . The only main concern is uncleanliness in small areas . The turned off is dirty cutlery inside cabinets. I also need to wash a lot of cups in the cabinet on our first day it is not wash properly .I asked the receptionist if it’s possible to ask to get an extra dishwasher tablet since we had booked for 7 days and the owner said no we are only have one sachet of dishwashing liquid otherwise we need to buy our own🙁 . The linen in our bedroom have a blood stained obviously they are not washed or bleach properly. I have to wash the linen in our second day and I found out mould on the side of the bed not sure if it is mould but it is showing black marks on it. The uncomfortable located on third floor having to carry a big luggage is not comfy lucky my husband is still fit to carry all our luggages . The carpet smells like an Old Age care facilities hoping that the Management will treat this awful smell .Overall I wouldn’t mind coming back if this constructive comments will be taken seriously by the Property Manager. Thanks to the friendly staff .

Carpet smell on Stairs, Stained linen and kitchen cups need a thoroughly washed by your cleaner .We washed the cups properly so the next people willl be happy in that room. Extra liquid dishwashing will be handy for long term stay .

We had a family gathering and l rented 2 three bedroom units. I liked the fact that we were given a ground floor unit to accommodate one of our family members who struggles with the stairs. One of our units was quite spacious the other one not as much space. Comfortable couch in one unit.

3 bedroom unit but not as clean as it could be. Only 3 chairs on the verandah. No coffee plunger in either unit. Two bedrooms in each of the 3 bedroom units had no bedside lights. 2 wine glasses only in one of the units. Outdoor patio in ground floor unit was very dirty and sticky. Stains and marks on couch in top 3 bedroom unit.

the location and the ammenities are exquisite. Lush warm pool, spa and sauna. I was there to recover from some surgery and my friend came with me. She loved the location and ability to be centre of the best part of the GC. Beach was amazing. Cafes and surf clubs in walking distance. On my side, the place was comfortable, quiet and pretty and I spent the majority of my time in the sun on the balcony looking over the gorgeous tropical gardens and pool. The owner is lovely and gave me a bottom unit near the car park so I didn’t have far to toddle after surgery. He gave me extra pillows and they were so helpful. I am going back with my husband and kids. this was the cheapest option for a weeks stay I could find and I am so glad it was so far beyond expectations! I am an original GC resident and this place just displayed all the charm of what a GC holiday should be.

We had great time with our family at the Grande Florida Beachside Resort. The location is close to the beach and supermarket is not all too far as well. Few cafe and food places close-by. We specifically enjoyed the pool area and the gardens. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The resort is mixture of holiday appartments and permanent residences. Our apartment had a renewed living area and well equiped kitchen.

The apartment we were allocated was overall clean in main areas, but on closer inspection was very dusty/unclean on top of fridge, between washing/dryer machines, on floors in corners.

We have consistently stayed at the Grande Florida for annual QLD holiday for 10 years. Each year, we are always politely welcomed. The 2 & 3 bedroom apartments are ALWAYS well kept and we’ve noticed the upgrades to the amenities over the years. Well located on the Gold Coast. Both pools are delightful and impeccably clean. We’ve not had an issue, in 10 years. The staff always available and nothing is ever too much trouble. Even going above and beyond to ensure our favourite room is available to us, each year upon our request. I highly recommend requesting a ground level room if travelling with toddlers. 4 stories high, gets a bit much on tired little legs (& Mumma’s at times. haha) speaking from experience.

The pool. Could have been a few degrees warmer but that's a minimal criticism. The location of the resort and the resort layout. Happy with our apartment location. Has a car park and rubbish and recycling services.

The walls were paperthin. The apartment was not as clean as expected. Would have done with complementary salt and pepper. Maybe it should be made clearer that it's an unserviced apartment. Example - sample sizes of laundry powder and toilet paper for seven people for seven nights.

The Hotel had many great attributes. 1) The two pools (heated and non-heated) were a good feature. 2) There were available barbeques and seating around the pool which were accessible. 3) The kitchen was well-equipped with a variety of cooking equipment and utensils. 4) The TV had Netflix and was large. 5) The balcony overlooked the pool. 6) The games room had a ping pong table (free) and pool table (at additional cost). 6) The two-bedroom apartment had a washing machine and dryer. 7) The reception staff were always friendly, including the owner who allowed us to use the car for groceries down the road. 8) There was a nice cafe called Piccolo espresso which was not far down the road. 9) The complex was a mix of owner-occupied and holiday homes, making for a friendly and well-maintained environment.

The Hotel could be improved by the following: 1) Air-conditioners in the bedroom (there were fans but they were quite noisy and would take a while to cool down; 2) The detergent supply was a bit limited for the duration of our stay; 3) Some of the crockery was a bit greasy - possibly from the limited detergent; 4) While the view onto the pool was nice, I really love looking out on the beach when staying in the Gold Coast. The Hotel was a short stroll to the beach so overall we didn't miss much.

Comfortable apartment with very comfortable beds. The kitchen had a great stove, oven, full-sized fridge, toaster, panini-maker. Washer and dryer were great. The sofa in the living room was so comfortable and the huge TV with Netflix was great for movie nights. The kids loved the heated pool (important because we were there in the winter and had a couple of rainy days). Easy access to the beach. Grocery store a short drive. Staff were lovely.

The apartment was relatively clean, but no one cleaned under the sofas or coffee table. Found a used condom wrapper in a closet drawer. After staying in AirBnBs where all the dish soap, detergent, oils and spices are provided it's annoying to have to buy all of these for a short stay. Wish there had been more blankets (we asked for some more and the hotel provided) in the rooms because in the winter it was chilly at night.

Wonderful location just across the street is the beach, spacious clean apartment and garden/pool area. Staff friendly and helpful. There was a glitch in the booking system (booked through booking.com) and there was no reservation for us and no available apartments), however the manager Nelson fixed our problem and after a very stressful check-in we were able to enjoy our 11 night stay. He went above and beyond to help us.

stove needs to be looked at had some issues as it seemed a bit faulty when cooking on one hot plate the one behind would turn on and off without being turned on. Smoke alarm beeped a few times as if it was going to go off maybe need battery’s changed. Recommend updating tv or options on TV selection eg being able to log into your own Netflix Disney plus UTUBE. Would be beneficial for kids these days. Cutlery needs to be looked at as some essential things are missing eg vegetable peeler etc. Apart from these things room accommodation was pretty good
