Presidential Motel

Clean, modern, and comfortable accommodation. The beds were so comfortable and just what we needed after a long trip. The room has been beautifully renovated & has everything you need.. We had a great stop over for one night (and woke up refreshed and well rested!). We also had an amazing dinner at the Presidential Restaurant (only a few steps from our room). The staff onsite were exceptional & deserve an acknowledgement. My husband forgot his wedding band in our room and realised after we were 3 hours down the road. The hotel manager, Ravi, was so professional in ensuring the ring was returned to us in a timely fashion. We can not thank the team for their honesty and assistance. This is just a reminder that there are still amazing and honest people in the world. Highly recommend this accommodation, and we will definitely stay here next time we pass through Mount Gambier.

The rooms were nice and could see that they had been updated recently. The bed was good, but the pillows were Terribile, maybe replace the spare ones with softer ones. The unit was very clean and tidy. Disappointing that the Wi-Fi was not working on the night that we stayed. Never rate a book by its cover - would be nice for you to upgrade the outside to reflect what has been done on the inside.

As above - the pillows are very bad, uncomfortable and hard as rocks.

Was located near work. Comfortable with well-appointed bathroom. Large spaces. Good bed. Very clean. Staff were patient, attentive, hospitable and very supportive.

Found it strange that the desk had no direct power point (was jammed next to the wardrobe around the corner) required to draft reports at the end of each day. Wardrobe was very small - had business clothes that needed to hang. TV was not viewable from the bed. No heating in the bathroom as weather was a cold and damp at the time.

Convenient location; good room size, clean with good shower.

Bed was ok, but could be larger for the size of the room and softer pillows (or a variety of soft/hard) would definitely help. Lighting should be improved, especially near the wardrobe, which is very dark. Room decor is quite old fashioned. Power points with USB charging ports are standard in most hotels these days - low cost, high convenience for an up-to-date guest facility.

We have stayed here on all our trips to Mount Gambier over the years and it was great to see that the rooms have had a much deserved facelift as it was long overdue. Bed was great, husband thought it was a little on the soft side but I guess we all have our own preferences to the firmness of the bed. Can't complain the rooms were clean and welcoming. Beds were made the next morning and new towels were given.

Wish it had a toaster, some bowls and a little more cutlery just so you could make toast or have a bowl of cereal in the morning particularly if you are travelling with children. Would love to see the pool back in action but if not so be it!

I liked the room size and the storage facllities. The room was quite large, dated but very comfortable, with table and chairs for breakfast, plenty of bench space for TV, dressing table, desk type facilities. The split level air conditioning was very modern, quiet and very effective.

The bathroom was '70s style with a toilet dated to the early 70s, shower recess the same. But it was all functional, the water flow in the shower good. I thought it presumptuous that a fee of $150 was charged on arrival, additional to the room rate. The $150 was allegedly for expenses incurred during our stay............which in our case, amounted to $30.87 worth of breakfast on one morning of the 3 nights were stayed. It will be interesting to see how long it takes for the balance of the $150 to be deposited to our account. The breakfast, ordered for between 8 and 8.30am arrived at 7.20am......we were not impressed!

We were very impressed with the facilities, especially the spaciousness of the room. There were only 2 of us but we booked the larger family room and loved the separate lounge area and extra TV.

I had some trouble with the water pressure in the shower as the shower head is set very high on the wall so by the time the water hit my head the pressure was very hit and miss. Water was lovely and hot though!

Being asked for my personally identifiable information like drivers license and credit card information from a mobile number that no one answers when it’s called to know it’s the hotel requesting the information. As much as I understand you want to protect your self ,your customer also needs to protect themselves. Might be a consideration to capture these details during booking instead.

it was clean and new, the shower design was poor as water leaks out into the basin adjacent, it was very hard to keep the area dry, we used all the towels provided to manage the wetness. The staff was lovely, they went through the trouble of returning a bracelet my daughter left behind. room service food was great.

I loved the location of the place was easy to find and easy to park our cars. I like how they had the kerb far away from the cars so easy to get out easy to turn around

I was disappointed that the actual restaurant they had there wasn't open on a Saturday night if not open at all. The pricing for breakfast was a bit far fetch as well. The rooms were fantastic very new and modern. A Bit strict though about not allowed to eat in the rooms.
