Abel Tasman Cabins Devonport

On arrival at the site (fresh off the ferry) we were pleasantly surprised that arrangements had been made for us to access our booked cabin despite being outside open hours. This was greatly appreciated. Even more of a surprise was the size and cleanliness of the cabin. We only booked to stay for one night but found ourselves wishing we could stay there longer. It was very comfortable and offered everything needed for a nice break/holiday.

No complaints at all from us.

Cabin was spacious and extremely clean. Bed comfortable and kitchen had enough cooking appliances Roomy for a cabin. The hottest hot water ever!! Location fantastic for travelers on the Spirit of Tasmania. Staff were very accommodating with arrangements made for late check in. Right near the beach and walking pathway.

perhaps the outdoor deck could be larger and some wear happening with the wood.

Stayed in one of the cabins, which gave us a living area separate from the bedroom. Good size living area. Was easy to get in and out as the ramp at the door made carrying things in easy.

No air conditioning, just a fan. The bathroom did not have a bit of shelf space for toiletries making it difficult to use things. Was next to the road, but thankfully not much traffic to disturb us during the night.

Location to Spirit of Tasmania was perfect, 3 minutes. Quiet at night. Cabin had a really small TV, basic table and chairs, and two bamboo seats beside a small table. Clean and convenient for boat in the morning.

Cabin was not a 'deluxe' as advertised more a budget tag. Parking taken up by next door so had to park close to fence on the edge of cabin.

Good for people travelling on the Spirit of Tasmania because it’s the closest caravan park from the dock so easy to get to and from the dock. friendly and accommodating staff, kept the office open a bit later knowing I had to check in a bit late from disembarking from the cruise. Informative and helped me get to the city centre and its close to a small beach which is always nice

Couldn’t connect to wifi half the time unfortunately so had to resort to using my 4G instead. Weak internet connection. Hope that can be fixed. Besides that not much problem

Location near the river was good. We could watch the spirit of tasmania come and go. It was near the beach making for a pleasant walk. An IGA was within a reasonable distance.

The site is away from the CBD. Although it is walkable it is quite a distance.

Fantastic location for accessing Spirit of Tasmania. Comfortable bed with a choice of bedding - we could take off the doona and use a blanket instead! Everything that we used worked as expected.

Why is Moccona the only instant coffee provided in nearly all accommodations?? Living room had 2 cane dining chairs and nothing else - tended to get a bit hard after a while

our stay here was great we arrived a little later than expected due to sailing in, but the fan was on was a warm day great view from the cabin and once inside so very clean fantastic to see a great size tv and great showers only stayed 1 night but great spot

Cabin was very clean and close to the Spirit of Tasmania ferry terminal. Water was hot and plentiful. TV was a good size. Furniture was in good condition. Fridge had a separate freezer compartment.

The cabin was very warm when we arrived at 4pm on a 23 degrees Celsius day. Fly screens unserviceable in bathroom, non existent in bedroom. Fans just moved warm air around. Cooled down overnight.

The cabin was basic. The cabin was clean but nowhere to sit and relax. The furnishings were simple. The window coverings flimsy. Very rustic. Phone conversations with the owner/manager were excellent.

Bathroom a challenge. Glad it didn't rain when we were there.
