Mountain View Country Inn

The 2 bedroom apartment was great value for money and the beds were comfy.

We were calling the phone number and ringing the buzzer for 30 mins with no response. I walked around the property to find ladies in a laundry or kitchen out the back and they finally came to the front desk and allowed us to check in. After a very full day of travelling on the ferry this was quite stressful. We also let them know at the time of booking that we would be arriving on the ferry at the time of booking. Also our kitchen did not have a kettle, the "car wash" was outside our room and we were woken up by it being used at 6am.

We felt cared for right from our initial conversation at check in - the people who work here are very obliging and pleasant. We borrowed DVDs from Reception and also plates and cutlery. The view from the huge room windows was a surprise. This is an old fashioned style motel with rooms close but we didn't hear a thing from the neighbours or the road. Terrific location, close to town and also to the road to Mole Creek - worth a visit for the Caves, Alum Cliffs, the wildlife sanctuary and and the Melita honey place in Chudleigh. Stay in the area a couple of nights because Deloraine is worth it. Coffee and food at Deloraine Deli was excellent.

This motel is a basic level drive-in courtyard motel with a fine view of the mountains. It is close enough to walk to central Deloraine but easier to drive. The restaurant seems friendly and busy. The rooms are fairly small but adequate as is the bathroom. The kitchenette is well equipped with more items available from reception if needed. Very clean fittings and linen. Decor is bland but acceptable. Quiet location and near to bakery, Woolworths and cafes.

Elderly wool blankets on beds were very harsh through repeated cleaning. Limited space. I booked a twin room and that is what I got but I expected to be able to fit in a suitcase as well.

We stayed here after getting off Spirit of Tasmania on day crossing. It's convenient and family rooms are clean, comfortable and great value for our family of 5

It was fine - more a note of improvement. We checked in about 1030pm and had to wake people up to get into our room.They were super friendly and I found out our keys were waiting in our room... but they still didn't say the room number. I found out after asking but why not message guests and tell them keys are waiting in room and the number? Quicker, easier and better for everyone.

everything. The people were lovely. the room comfortable. The view of the valley and mountain range from our bedroom was unbelievably beautiful. The meals at the restaurant were delicious. The use of the washing machine made life so easy

although we had a fly screen on one window it had a hand access planet that wasn’t screened and the higher window wasn’t screened at all so we couldn’t keep the abundant supply of flies out

last day and night staff uncontactable we needed toilet paper and nobody around or responded to messages had to go buy some from supermarket. restaurant not open entire stay which was inconvenient as booking was done based on this being onsite. had to have microwave meals or travel to find open places

ok for the price, good location, warm and clean, rooms can be noisey from the other hotel guests through the walls at times, safe area, staff great and the meals are very nice

more sound proofing needed between rooms but it is an old motel and is a good price so have to take all this into consideration

Great room. Very comfy and homely. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. Great location for discovering the area and close to cradle Mountain. Looking forward staying again.

Let's just say I'm glad we brought our own pillows. For us, we wouldn't have been able to sleep with the pillows provided. We were sad the restaurant wasn't operating. We had been there before and were looking forward to another meal there. We understand issues.

Good location, good size rooms, close to everything, great restaurant, good meals, clean rooms, safe, value for money, I always come back to this hotel, it is family run motel, the girls, Rose and her mum do a great job, very friendly staff

very warm and friendly reception. Have never seen a complimentary ‘car wash’ before and that was a nice touch.

nothing . I do think it would have been useful had there been a separate toilet somehow given the size of the two rooms - either for family use or friends - bathroom /toilet off one bedroom.
