Crowne Plaza Sofia, an IHG Hotel

The breakfast buffet had everything we needed for a strong and healthy start into the day, with the cooks accepting special wishes for omelettes and more! And the same thing counts for the rest of the day, we tried ourselves through most of the dishes on the standard or weekly menu and every single dish we took was to our complete satisfaction!

We were there over New years eve, and on the 31st we wanted to eat dinner in the brasserie, but were not told beforehand that there will be a special event on that date and the restaurant will be closed. In the end, we could join the special event without problems but it would have been nice beforehand to know about the special occasion.

Breakfast was great! The bar and restaurant staff were very friendly and they made great cocktails for me. When I asked for one that was not on the menu, they went above and beyond to make it. Great service, Reasonable prices. One of my favourite hotels in Sofia.

If I had to pick something, I would say the bath tap was a bit awkward. It is placed in middle of the bath, so hits you directly if you want to add hot water. Basically, you need to stand up each time you want to add hot water...

There was a lady who worked at the reception and was passive aggressive for no reason whatsoever, I just asked to check out and she rolled her eyes at me, then she told me that i had to pay additionally for a city tax and i said okay, then she said, and i quote "i said you have to pay a city tax". Mm like okay?? I payed 500 leva for 2 nights, what does she think I'm not going to pay 2 leva for a city tax and run away?? 😃 pathetic. Otherwise everything was great, highly recommend the hotel.

Breakfast was very good. Bed was comfortable. Room etc was clean. Girl at the bar was helpful and friendly. The shower strength was good. Room was quiet. I could have the window open all night for ventilation without noise from outside.

Laundry service were very slow to collect. I asked reception to order a taxi in advance and he forgot. The shower head adjustment was not working well and the water temperature fluctuated.

Breakfast excellent evening meal excellent staff absolutely fabulous so so very helpful........on arrival the receptionists were so welcoming.........The Manager of the dinning room inside and out etc Daniel exceptional person, so knowledgeable very smart great smile...........I will recommend this hotel to friends.........

The revolving doors at the entrance are too fast, don’t know if you can slow them down.....

Super helpful and friendly staff, super parking, super room with a super comfortable stay. We had a hassle at the border and were very late, had an unexpected rough all night traveling day and were exhausted. The staff was super helpful in rescheduling our reservation for the next day and I feel like that all really made up for all the stress before. Thank you holiday inn team!

Nicely located for business meetings. If you’re in Sofia for business, for one or two nights, this is a great solution.

Service is kind of… clumsy, I guess. Not really experienced, or that’s my impression. Hotel interior is kind of ready for renovation. Nothing alarming, but feels like early 2000’s.

Spacious and comfortable room with everything you may need Good breakfast

For a 5 star hotel, shower was disappointing. There was no rain shower, just a shower head fixed in a weird position. Also the shower thermostat didn't work correctly so the water was changing constantly from cold to hot

The hotel is easy to get to. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful. Everything is in great condition. The best hotel we've stayed in Bulgaria.

The food was good but a bit pricey and sort of generic. I personally would look around for something uniquely Bulgarian.

The Food was very good. Also the staff was so nice to let us stay a couple of hours longer on our last day, since we had our baby daughter with us, who was in need of a nap. :) Thanks again for that.
