Comfort, luxury space and very friendly personal, finding arrangements for almost everything. The first 5 nights were over booking.com at a very advantageous price. Spa (sauna/steam bath) and massages are available. Very good breakfast with loads of choices.

Location wasn‘t awesome but close to everything. City center, airport and highways. Although the hotel has aged well and still got a modern, timeless flair, good choices on inner art/architecture, it‘s a bit on the old site and some damages, infrastructure issues and inconveniencies maust be taken into sccount. (Steam bath not working, I got refund)

I know very well the location and neighborhood so I chose the hotel based on that. The staff was polite. Breakfast was good, enough choice of everything but some of the food seemed not very fresh. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere. The room was spacious and both me and my husband managed to work from there, WiFi was more than enough. Comfortable beds.

As I said some of the food wasn't looking fresh. The bathroom could be cleaned better - there was a mould mostly around the shower. Also some small stains on the pillow case and towels.

Great choice when you stay in Sofia especially if you are using Airport as it is very close and the hotel is offering a shuttle service free of charge. Also parking in the hotel while you are staying abroad is quite handy and reasonable in price they charge per night. Rooms are quite large and well equiped . Very good recommendation for all kind of travellers despite if they are travelling for business or leisure. Last but not least food choice in the restorant is very good !

Only tv is quite small and not many channel choices ,especially international.

The hotel was clean and the staff was helpful. It was very quiet and beds were comfortable.

It is difficult to get in and out of the parking lot. You must loop around the neighborhood coming and going. The hotel is relatively close to the airport, but the difficulty getting in and out makes it less convenient. It is not terribly easy to get into the city center. Closest metro station is a 15 minute walk at a brisk pace. The shower/tub leaked out onto the bathroom floor.

Nice and clean hotel, offers comfort, really clean and good room.

Seems that they have an issue with the software at the front desc. The girl at the reception needed 55 minutes time for issuing three invoices (for the 3 rooms) in the name of one and the same company. We paid the breakfast additionally. At the next day the restaurant was not informed that we paid, so we needed to go back to the reception and discuss with them and evidence by our credit card the payment for the additional breakfast. Quite a mess and really time consuming all the bureaucracy.

The hotel was very luxurious and modern looking. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location suited us because it was near relatives we were visiting. The breakfast buffet included in our package had a great selection of food and drinks. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The complimentary mini bar in our room was restocked daily and was a nice bonus. The Met Bar was very cosy for an evening meal and drink. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely book again.

The hotel room was very warm during a couple of the hot days during our stay. We asked about it and were told by the receptionist that the air-conditioning wasn’t on “summer mode” as she said that cold weather was returning so they weren’t changing the air-con settings. This meant warm air came out on the cold setting and made little difference in cooling the room. Something to improve on considering two days during our stay really did need a properly functioning cool setting from the air-con. The bath drain plug didn’t stay down so there was no option to have a bath. You couldn’t get an iron/ironing board sent to the room and had to go to an “ironing room” in the hotel. Would’ve rathered one in the room.

Great and friendly communication and service from the reception staff and bellboy. The room was spacious, warm, clean and had everything we needed for a short stopover in Sofia. Room service was also great and the food delivered fast and was delicious albeit not the best value but worth it when you don't want to venture out for food. Close proximity to the airport, shopping mall and a short taxi ride to the centre. Will definitely be back and can highly recommend the Matropolitan for their great service!

The staff was great I specified some special requirements and they where able to fulfill them to the letter. The room was quite practical and comfortable. The breakfast was great. The parking is very convenient.

The elevator use card for floors is bit confusing, you do not know where to put the card, second time even more that the first time. Also the elevators tend to be very hot. And have a byzantine system for room service, is not that simple to add it on the room tab.

The hotel is nice , well positioned against Mall . Breakfast is plentiful and for various tastes. The gym is small , but i was there couple of times and i was alone. so i don’t see why should it be bigger , if so few people is interested about it . Staff is very polite and know English quite well . The Met Bar have excellent food at good prices . A very nice gesture is the fact they offer you some water , beer and juice in minibar in the room , free of charge .

- i don’t like they charge your credit card with some guarantee fee , which they will reverse it after you’ll check out ( that’s in theory…in practice i left this hotel yesterday and i didn’t get the reverse transaction yet ). Anyway , didn’t see this practice in any other country.

Good location close to the airport and also the city centre. All the staff provided excellent customer service. Free shuttle to airport.

The air conditioning in the hotel room wasn't cold enough for my liking which affects my sleep but was bareable. The steak dinner tasted great but was a small portion for the price- carrots and potatoes were listed but you get tiny carrots and 3 small potato slices. Bit cheeky!
