Scotty's Boutique Hotel

The hostel is very well located, in an area that is very interesting and close to a lot of tourist sites. Our room had a little balcony which was nice. The room had a TV which we didn't use and aircon which was very useful. The bed was quite comfortable. Staff was friendly.

Everything is a little shabby, for example there was water damage in the bathroom and the wardrobe was falling apart. The room needed a bit of deep cleaning. We were not big fans of the shower, but we had a similar set up ( wet room rather than a separate shower) in other places we stayed in in Bulgaria. It was, however, good value for money due to the location.

My friend and I visited Bulgaria for only one night. On the first day, we hired a car to visit areas outwith Sofia. However, we has a bit of a mishap with out rental vehicle which meant we were unable to return to Sofia for the correct check in time. The member of staff with whom I spoke on the phone was incredibly helpful and reassuring about the situation and provided detailed instruction about how to access the property out of hours. Due to this mishap, we only spent around 5 hours at the property before we has to check out. We checked out very early and so phoned the number provided to ask how we could do so. The member of staff was helpful and very trusting saying that we could just leave the money for the room under the keyboard at reception. This was ideal as it meant we made out connection which was early that morning. Despite never haven actually met anyone who works here, they were very helpful and made the overall experience less difficult.

Very spacious, nice and clean room. Nice with a balcony and own bathroom. The room also had a refridgirator, aircondition and television. Close to the tube and the city centre. One of the better low budget places I styed on in Sofia and Ive stayed at many places in this city.

The owners behaviour. He was so serious and almost unfriendly. A nice and welcomming attitude matters. Unfortunately quite a lot of noise from the street. However despite the owners grumpy attitude and the noise this low budget hotel is defenately one of my favorites so far and I will stay there again, so I do recommend this place.

Very comfortable big room. Double bed, towels, shower gel and hand soap, some coffee and tea for the morning. The gentleman working at the reception was very nice and let us leave our luggage before check in

There is no elevator so if you have luggage consider that you have to go up some stairs. The bathroom lock didn't work and the shower definitely needs a curtain.

I chose this particular place for 3 reasons, 1st for location near Serdika Station. 2nd City Centre and 3rd for price, The Hotel met all my requirements. My allocated room (Sydney) was large with all the necessary things, TV, Kettle etc etc and a bonus balcony, which was a nice surprise. Overall i would rate this Hotel as a 9, just little things prevent from giving 10, otherwise i'm happy with everything here. I can recommend here.

Location, rooms are ok. Good value for money.

No elevator, not a problem for me, but if it's a problem for you, keep that in mind. No one at the reception when we arrived, you need to call a Bulgarian number to get the keys in the locker. Not a problem for me, but if you do not have the provision to call a Bulgarian number, you are stuck.

The location is excellent. It's very easy to find the hotel, everything that you might need is nearby. Also, you will need 10minutes walk to reach almost all the sights of the city. The main bus station and railway station is 20 minutes walk away. we had an amazing view from the window.

The facilities are very old and a little uncomfortable. Also, we did not have a shower in the bathroom. instead, we had only a faucet, the internet was very slow.

The hotel was in a good location and was what you expect for the money, although not as pretty as the pictures! Check in was great, service with a smile and plenty of helpful information. Find Bistro 16 for a casual, friendly drink, near cafe Athene!

Needs a bit of maintenance and tlc

- Very close to city centre and metro station - Early check in was well appreciated! - Friendly and informative staff - Clean room - Nice view from the balcony - Taxi ordered at the reception was well on time!

- Beds were super uncomfortable and old, they should be changed. - Shower/toilet is in a small space. Everything will get wet when taking a shower - Little couch needs to be replaced, it has a lot of stains and looks dirty

Hotel in a great position, in a really quiet area. The owner is available for any assistance. The room was big enough and having all the "optional".

The bathroom was small and having not a real shower, after using it the bathroom was wet and difficult to use for few hours. But is not a big problem if you choose this structure for 2 nights.
