Rocky Ridge Country Lodge

Breakfast was great, and the owner Josh was very friendly. The home/lodge is quaint, with a common TV room, pool table, and small hot tub.

While the place is very comfortable, the TV room is shared. It was monopolized by one couple for hours each night which led little option to relax before bed with your own show. The place was clean, but the water source had a slight sulfur smell. This water left an odd taste on its own, which was a challenge when going for long hikes in the day and needing hydration. We ended up buying water bottles in bulk instead of filling up water bladders or hiking bottles.

Location was terrific - close to Waterton Lakes National Park. Lodging was terrific value. Very comfortable and special because it was a 'cookie cutter' hotel but a unique 'Bed & Breakfast'. very 'Country' in terms of decor. We opted to purchase the breakfast - IT WAS OUTSTANDING!!! We also chose a room that did not have a private bath but shared with 2 other rooms - the bath was closely located to our room and we had no issues with this option.

Although there were shared spaces, we had our own bathroom, which was terrific! The hot tub on the deck was nice, although it was very buggy. The breakfast was delicious and there were several good choices. The reverse osmosis water was great for filling our water bottles. The sleeping loft was comfortable and not too small. The price was better than comparable stays on the US side. The flowers and landscaping were beautiful! Josh and his mom were lovely hosts, helpful without being obtrusive. Check-in was easy.

The stairs to the second floor were a little windy and tricky with luggage.

Didnt do my research thoroughly, I had thought that it was just a stones throw away from downtown which my wife was expecting and dissappointed her, thats on me though. The place however was uber quaint,fantastic view of rolling farmlands and mountains, very quiet and since its a bit isolated, has an awesome view of the stars at night. I loved that they have greenhouses that they grow various seedlings in and that you can purchase. And, when i was loading the back of our SUV I inadvertently left the drivers side door open and when I finished at the back I found this cutest ball of fur of a cat (I soooo...wanted to take her home! hahaha) so I grabbed her out and closed the door.

Again my bad, didnt do enough research. Found out from Josh that most places were closed, and that we were too early for the official long weekend opening of businesses in the area. silver lining though, NO LINES!!!

Beds were nice, very clean house. Grounds were very well kept. Location close to Waterton. Very quiet and private. Communication with landlord was quick.

The ad was deceiving, we thought we were staying in the big house as shown on the listing pictures but were actually staying in a separate house. We did not know that breakfast was included here so we also missed out on this. I feel better communication would be helpful such an email explaining these details prior to arriving.

Perfect place to stay during your visit to Waterton (it is just 30' by car). The relation cost/quality is perfect. Has everything: your dreams kitchen if you want to use it, cozy places to have dinner/lunch, perfect rooms, lovely outdoors, billar, BBQ... Do not doubt to stay in if you are going to Waterton or near by.

Absolutely nothing. A perfect 10.

The location is perfect scenic drive from Waterton. We enjoyed our stay and felt like home. Every detail , organized things and clean is perfect place to stay. We enjoyed the beautiful garden and the view of the hills and Mountain from our Cottage. We enjoyed barbecuing and the bon fire. We highly recommend and we will definitely going to come back.

I love Jen. I can immediately tell that there is a beautiful aura around her, therefore the vibes I have for the place is wonderful. I am the kind of person who can sense if the place will be amazing. And I was correct! :) I had the best sleep in this lodge and I will come back again with my friends and family next time. Kudos to Jen and her son Josh. You guys are stellar :)

Cozy property with all the amenities we could need and the proprietor went above and beyond to help us while we were there.

This isn’t a dislike and we knew it booking it, but you’re 20 mins from Waterton Lakes park, FYI. Didn’t bother us at all, though! The property is gorgeous and a nice spot to spend some time after your hike or bike ride.

The cottage was exceptionally clean. It's a very spacious 3 bedroom cottage and my family....with 4 overly active teenagers was very comfortable in it. It just felt like home and we plan to make it our home away from home. The kitchen is equipped with modern high quality kitchenware and our cooking experience was excellent. It's unfortunate that we could not use the barbeque on the deck due to prevailing wintery weather. The beds are very comfortable and this enhanced our sleep.
