Big Rock Motel

Location, watched cruise ships from the balcony, short drive (or little longer walk) to downtown. Reviews talked about noise but we didn't notice it being all that bad and at night was certainly quiet. As a bonus, we found that the room had a stand alone A/C unit installed. Very friendly staff and laid back atmosphere

one of the beds had a crack in the boxspring so it popped each time getting in and out. Also, if the A/C units were vented through the wall, the window could have been fully closed which would have made it quieter. other than those minor things, it was great for the short stay we had.

The location with the view of the ocean and paved biking/walking pathway across the highway was really nice. The mini fridge was larger than most bar fridges so that came in handy. The lighting was bright for reading in bed.

There was no lighting by by the coffee/fridge and wall mirror when using this area but not a major issue. As with any accommodation with only one sink in the bathroom, it's a bit more difficult to share with 3 people but good to know if you are looking for that in a room.

Large rooms, very clean with comfortable beds. A great location right across from the ocean so it is an amazing view.

I just wish the shower rods were not installed facing down. It makes the shower curtain move when trying to have a shower

The room we were given was on the second floor with a wonderful view of the water. Exactly across the water was a lighthouse and I love lighthouses! It was like they knew to give us that room

The pillow was too hard! The bed was so so as far as comfort was concerned!

The rooms were very spacious and we had a very comfortable, quiet, restful stay. The gentleman that checked us in was friendly and the pricing was excellent.

The only thing I would suggest changing was the sugar/coffee whitener/napkin/stir stick packets. I think they're wasteful. Perhaps consider changing to individual sugar & whitener packets, so you don't open an entire package, when you only need one packet of sugar, for example. Also, I didn't see a recycle bin and that kind of bothered me.

I like the location, owner and staff always great..Rooms are clean and comfortable, and a great view of the ocean...

Just the security handle on the shower wall missing..Me being older, and my balance is a little, I was a little worried when I showered.

Easy to find, large comfortable beds, AC, wifi, the owner was on site when we arrived and checked us in instantly

Really needed some cutlery for a take out meal. Can't open curtains without exposing the whole room

you have a beautiful ocean view. it’s not to far from downtown.

there is a board on top of stairs that should be painted with high vision Color so you don’t trip. there is a sign at the bottom part of stairs that you can’t see from top. it seems dangerous.

2nd year staying here. Easy to get to Great view from the second floor. Simple older motel - quiet and clean - nice size rooms. Owner and staff extremely helpful. Owner helped us with out cooler up the stairs in the pouring rain.

Clean comfy beds. Staff was awesome. Very friendly. Price was good, but I don’t think children should have to pay to stay. Location was awesome.. would definitely stay here again.

Our tub plug didn’t work, but not a huge deal Children having to pay to stay was a little ridiculous.
