Best Western Plus Merritt Hotel

Our pet-friendly room was well-designed, was located next to a storage area on the ground floor so that a noisy pet would not disturb other guests. We enjoyed the bonus outside door which let us and our dog right out into the parking lot. Once outside the door we were only steps away from the grassy knoll planted with saplings where our dog could "do his business. There was also a supply of poo bags and a dedicated garbage can near the knoll. Wonderful!! Breakfast was available across the hall from the pet-friendly rooms and the Best Western breakfasts are a grade above the average. Our delightful breakfast attendant was kind and helpful.

Booking.com is misleading about the whether the available room is pet-friendly even if you specify "pet friendly" in your hotel search. You have to talk directly to the hotel to determine if the room is actually for pets or you will be out of luck.

Clean, presented world class. Pool was clean , lots of towels. Hot tub worked , breakfast was excellent. Parking was excellent ( I had a pickup with ATV and trailer. ). Room was spectacular , AC was on and a perfect temp. Reception ( man) was a little stiff but did his job proficiently.

The King size bed creaked and was not as expected. Not a pillow top. The TV was ridiculous could not get a movie for free. Every channel was pay TV. That was disappointing.

The breakfast quality was excellent. The staff was friendly but the staff kept running behind so that guests had to continually ask for clean cutlery, coffee pot refill, clean plates and bowls. This was a pain in the ass but when stuff was provided, it was good. The front desk staff said the breakfast team contractor had changed recently.

The rooms are large. The beds, linens and pillows are fantastic! We slept great especially my 2 year old toddler. The room was spotless. Every little corner was clean and that is very important to me especially having a toddler. We enjoyed the pool and the breakfast that was served. Will definitely be going back here in our future trips to BC.

The bathroom was a little smaller.

Excellent accommodation situated on the outskirts of Sicamous. Rooms were very spacious, clean and comfortable. There is a small swimming pool with a hot tub on site. Breakfast was very good but no bacon available as promised on check-in! There is a gas station, Walmart and a number of eateries nearby.

Nothing other than the swimming pool could be bigger.

Our room was clean, modern and comfortable. The bed was super-comfortable. The breakfast was good and generous. The staff were pleasant and helpful. This was our second time to stay in this hotel and we will definitely stay there again next time we are passing through Merritt!

Clean & comfortable. Great location just off main road. Good stop off location, short distance from supermarket and lots of fast food places.

Quite noisy- could hear people above using water. Upon check in we were never told what facilities were open or where they were. Never saw the swimming pool.

Pool and hot tub close too early and were noisy with kids and families too late. Should close to kids by 9 and stay open for adults until at least 10 p.m. Cheap toilet paper for a high-end hotel and no magnified makeup mirror in bathroom! Also no complimentary bottled water like other hotels I've stayed in recently.

We really enjoyed our stay, so many extras. Good coffee available in the lobby 24 /7 and really nice breakfast. Room had a fridge and microwave. Nice restaurants just a couple of minutes walking. Was a very positive experience!

We experienced nothing we didn't like on this trip.

The staff was friendly, kind, and accommodating. All necessary amenities were conveniently at walking proximity. We had a very cozy room on the main level with an extra private entrance to/from the parking lot, the best were so comfortable, and I liked the convenience of having a mini fridge and microwave in the room. It was an overall better than expected stay, for the circumstances of our visit - our RV broke down - and I wish I could've stayed an extra day. Breakfast was a wonderful bonus.
