BEST WESTERN PLUS Valemount Inn & Suites

Staff very helpful and friendly. Rooms comfortable and good quality linen and towels. Great to have tea / coffee available in reception area in addition to what was in your room. Nice pool for a relaxing swim but not designed for swimming lengths. Fabulous breakfast buffet. Sadly restaurant not open the night we stayed but reception had a list of local places that were open. Good Wi-Fi signal.

Little space in the room to put your suitcase down, can't understand why room designers put large chests of drawers in rooms that will mainly be designed for one or two night stays which take up lots of space that isn't used.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were big with really comfortable beds. Good location near the highway, but it's still quiet. Lovely grounds around the hotel. A large group of us had a meal in the restaurant and really enjoyed our food.

Expensive for the location. Bar closed at 9pm which seems really early for a hotel bar. We were told this is because the liquor licence is linked to the restaurant, so why not just keep the restaurant open later? We also couldn't understand why this hotel uses disposable plates, bowls etc for breakfast. It seems hugely wasteful.

Room was very comfortable and super clean. The lounge has happy hour which we attended as arrived early and room not quite ready. Very good with lots of happy hour Appies. The breakfast was excellent… lots of fresh hot items and plenty of cereals, nice pastries and yogurts, fruit etc. I need to comment on the coffee in the lobby, so very good with specialty syrups to add to special coffees and available all day and night. The staff were very friendly and helpful as well as the cleaning staff. There is a hiking walking trail just at the front of hotel that is perfect after a days drive.

Lighting in room a little dark to read

The room was quiet, they are large offering space. The restaurant is on the premises and is fairly casual. Cars are parked close to the building. If you are lucky and your room is at the back the view from your windows is of a large beautiful park area with hiking paths, outside decks and relaxing outdoor areas.

We got the view of the parking lot in front of the building this trip, its less beautiful and more noisy in morning and early evening. Dusty as well if you open the window which is preferable to turning on the inroom air conditioning. My only grip is the lack of sound proofing in the bathrooms, might as well not have a wall at all.

Price of the room was a bit high. However, when you considered that the breakfast was included and would likely cost $40.00 for two if eaten at a restaurant, it made it more than worth while. Breakfast has hot and plentiful, with a great deal to choose from. Staff were very friendly and service excellent. Location was great as it was just off the highway although you wouldn't know it as the room was very quiet. Would definitely stay again.

This is a great hotel in a beautiful location. There is a 5 km loop around Cranberry Marsh right outside the door and Valemount is an outdoor enthusiast's dream. The hotel itself was friendly and everything was beautiful and well organized. The pool is great and very family friendly. There is a lot of outdoor patio space for the Summer months and the main area has a great lounge with a fireplace, drinks & food service. The snack machine has freshly made sandwiches, potstickers and even vegan jerky! It is a short distance to Valemount village as well, which is really charming and has several great restaurants and pubs.

The property had a great atmosphere. Loved the fireplace to relax around and the lush gardens. The staff were so helpful and cheery and there were complimentary cookies and fruit on the reception desk for that extra touch. We had a 3x queen room which was spacious with plush beds and pillows. Bathroom was super small but served it’s purpose. There was a good variety for breakfast and plenty of tables overlooking the garden. The waitress was wonderful. All of the staff were so polite and helpful. we’ll worth the money

Best Western Valemount Inn is just off the highway and backs onto a nature reserve via a footpath. As usual the hotel is well appointed and clean. The room was spacious and very comfortable. We had drinks in the bar which also served light meals. Dinner in the restaurant was good in pleasant surroundings. The hot buffet breakfast in the morning was very good with eggs and bacon regularly replenished.

This hotel is situated halfway home so is a good stopping point for me. The hotel staff must be excellent workers as the place is spotless. The room was very clean and the bed very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent with many items to choose from.

For some reason my computer would not connect to the wifi as my security app would not allow it. I have never had this issue anywhere else. The price is a little high but then I did have the suite, which was the only rooms available. Other than that this place is excellent.

The property is well located for breaking up a trip from southwest BC to central Alberta. The unexpected bonus of the location is that it is located adjacent to a bird sanctuary with a well-groomed walking trail to stretch tired legs. The hotel staff were friendly and the meal we had in the hotel was good. Next time I would venture into Valemount proper for dinner as it looked like it had some interesting places to eat. The beds were very comfortable.

Next time I would ask for a room farther from the highway as my travelling companion found the traffic noise a bit loud.
