Halifax Marriott Harbourfront Hotel

We stayed there for my daughters 19th birthday, The room was amazing (facing the waterfront) and the location was perfect (right in between a great bar and the Casino with many food options around). But most importantly...when we arrived to our room, the staff had left a 19th birthday basket as a gift for my daughter which was so thoughtful and kind, and house keeping sent up a free bottle of wine. You guys all made her birthday the most special ever and we couldn't be more thankful to you. We will definitely stay again!

There was nothing I didn't like. Everything was perfect!

The staff were the most wonderful hospitality workers I’ve ever met. This was the best experience we’ve had at a hotel. Everything was absolutely exceptional. I am so glad I cancelled at the barrington hotel. I would have regretted spending $300 immediately. Instead I spent $500+ on quality and will never regret the experience. I felt rich for a night. But my favourite part was the staff. I bought pop at 1am and the staff member at the counter smiled at me and greeted me professionally. At that hour at any other hotel in Nova Scotia. You’d be sighed at and treated like a bother. The rooms were the cleanest I’ve ever stayed in. Spend the extra money to stay here and have a beautiful time. This is our forever hotel now. I cannot recommend it enough.

ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. What I don’t like is that other hotels are not up to the same standards.

Quiet, spacious room with a view of the harbour. Good location with easy access to waterfront and centre.

Couldn’t access WiFi to pick up emails and staff couldn’t provide a solution. In the restaurant the food was good but the portion size was too large. Where we live many places offer a Senior’s Menu. This is the same as the main menu but with smaller, more manageable portions. It would also be good to have better lighting so one could read the menu more easily.

The room was very clean and the Engineering staff who came and changed my fridge was so nice fast service. All the staff were amazing with the exception of one staff who worked the front desk

No name tag very rude claimed my room was not paid for the online form my husband filled out for payment was not completed I explained it was. She just kept saying it was then finally looked under his name and found it didn't apologize and the carry part was that she was training.

Clean, neat, modern, But they missed dumb stuff. There were ZERO hooks to hang anything in the bath room. There were ZERO plugs for charging anything on one side of the bed.

Very helpful and friendly staff, beautiful indoor pool and hot tub, accommodating to children and parking vehicles. Excellent location right downtown.

The only restaurant/bar in the hotel always had a 45+ minute wait to be seated.

Everything exceeded the expectations i had when i booked.

The man serving coffee at the Balancing Rock Café was curt with certain customers and rude with some of his staff on several occasions. In particular, a new female employee. It was not comfortable to witness or experience . I didn't say anything as I don't know what his circumstances are (e.g. poor pay, over-worked, or personal issues?) but he negatively impacted our stay enough for me to take the time to mention it.

We loved the view of the Harbor, and ability to walk to restaurants etc. The walk in closet was appreciated and the large bathroom was also appreciated.

The breakfast was ok, but service was poor. We had to wait a LONG TIME to get the tab and finnally pay. The parking garage had low ceilings which made a challenge parking a truck.

Location was excellent. Close to all sorts of shops and easily walkable any number of restaurants and sights. Rooms were super clean and well decorated with premium furnishings. I had a very handy marble top C table that I could pull to the bed for a snack without getting food or crumbs in bed. The King sized bed itself was amazingly comfortable, as were the pillows and sheets. The staff were very helpful in finding an ice cream spot for me, and check in/out was quick and easy. The restaurant in the hotel had delicious chowder, and I liked how fast and easy it was to get a cup to go. Although I didn't try it, Room service from the restaurant is very well priced and looked easy to order from the QR code. I would definitely stay here again. It felt like a luxury hotel.

The flat screen tv in my room was very small and seemed old, whereas my friends room had a big modern tv. Often the tv show was pixelated. Having to log into Netflix was inconvenient and felt like a bit of a security issue, although there was an option to easily disconnect. It would be very nice to be able to cast from streaming apps on our own device to the tv, which I have seen in a few hotels. The cable offerings were ok but not extensive. Also, it would have been nice if the room service from the restaurant was available later than early evening.

Great location! Great pool and hot tub! Love the room, beds and bathroom. Love how you don't have to go outside to get to the Casino. Great restaurant and cafe. Best bang for your buck!

I wish you didn't have to pay extra for parking. I guess $30/day isn't as bad as other hotels. The bathroom didn't have a lock on the door.
