La Quinta by Wyndham Niagara Falls

You can tell this Laquinta has been recently updated. It was very modern, clean, and up-to-date. The breakfast was small compared to other LaQuintas we've been to. There was still a decent variety of options though. We were only here for 2 days. The main reason we booked a LaQuinta is because of their AMAZING pet policy!!! We have a Husky and a lab mix. We choose to travel with our dogs because one of them is blind and needs 4 different meds for health issues. It's so hard to find hotels with great pet policies, that don't charge an arm and a leg for a pet fee!! The double queen with couch room was plenty big enough for our family of 3 and the 2 dogs. This specific location has a small grass strip area behind the hotel where we could take our dogs to potty. The beds and pillows were firmer. Honestly, the pillows were horrible. Rock hard! I was almost tempted to go get a cheap $10 pillow at Walmart because it would've been more comfortable. We didn't have time to use the pool, but my husband did use the basic workout room and was disappointed in how much equipment was broken and couldn't be used. We drove to Niagara Falls state park and walked into Canada for the day. The drive wasn't bad at all. There are also plenty of stores and restaurants close to the hotel.

The pillows were horrible, and the workout equipment was broken.

Nice clean hotel right off the highway. Good location central to most shopping and restaurants.

Breakfast was horrible. the only good thing was the waffles you make to order but their wasn’t any butter for them. Eggs were the worst I have ever tasted. the sausage I believe was cooked last week and been put out every morning since. no orange juice only apple juice which was very watered down. Oh and the remote controls for our 2 tvs did not work to control either tv. so no tv because we didn’t realize it until around 11pm and we’re not going to go back down to the front desk at that time. and the thermostat in room 324 does not work properly. it is off by about 10 degrees and the left side of the heater only blows cold.

The room was big. The location was perfect to get to the Falls. The staff were nice. Overall cleanliness was good. The property was not loud. Loved the fact that it was pet friendly.

Cleanliness could have been better. They were stingy with toilet paper. Didn’t replace them everyday. So we got our own. The bathub drain was a clogged a bit. Next time I might get my own drain cleaner. The hotel should be clearing the drains of bathtubs regularly. The snack bar downstairs was awfully expensive. Around $10 for a small bottle of soda.

-very warmly greeted by Mildred as we checked in -reception staff throughout our stay was also very pleasant and upbeat -it was great to be able to check in early (about 1:30) since our room was ready -wonderful to have a fridge, microwave and coffee maker in the room -we also appreciated having access to coffee and tea in the lobby at all times -our room was clean and spacious -breakfast each morning was above and beyond (not just a continental breakfast) -we were well looked after by the very friendly woman in charge of the breakfast area -we took advantage of the pool and exercise room -ideal location of the hotel to shopping and an added bonus for us - right beside the Regal Cinema (we saw two movies)

The breakfast was more than expected with the fresh scrambled eggs. Free fresh coffee all day . The rooms clean and beds very comfortable..

The only complaint is that the room next to us had a dog that woke us in the middle of the night barking and whinning. Front desk sent someone to check though no one answered the door. We were told the hotel was attempting to contact the owners by phone. Maybe should rethink the pet restrictions.

The beds were soooo comfortable! I think for that alone I would return here. I liked that the rooms were large, the microwave and fridge were very useful and everything was clean. I can't say they were perfect as the place has definitely reached the point of needing to be refurbished, but it was clean, no complaints. Despite being by a busy road it was lovely and quiet at night, great access to (10 min drive) to the falls and town, a great gastro-pub nearby serving really good food. I know it has some bad reviews but I didn't see any evidence of those complaints. I think it was really good value for money (half the cost of the place next-door!) and was more than happy to ignore the dated decor as it was comfortable, clean, convenient, quiet, friendly and what more do you really want! For our trip it was great!

I can't think of anything I didn't 'like'. It was just fine, nothing to complain about. it was just what we needed.

I have to say that this hotel offers a really good value for money. It’s in a very good location and very clean. The parking space is available for free. I would recommend that the hotel pays attention to breakfast quality. You feel as though it’s like full of snacks, but not real breakfast. If that’s not a deal breaker for you, then its the place to go for, especially now with covid restrictions being loosened.

We liked our rooms, they were comfortable, we enjoyed the pool and breakfast, close to most attractions.

The guy who checked us in was rude and not polite at all, he checked us in at 315pm and check in was supposed to be at 3pm, we got to the hotel at 255pm nobody was at the front desk and we waited, a guy showed up and said that we had to wait and he was doing nothing, we were tired and didn't like the way he talked to us, you should have more professional people working for you, the people who work at the front desk are the first point of contact and the face of the hotel, very disappointed by this, we felt he was being racist to us, but the hotel is nice.

Room was clean. Staff were very friendly. Getting a room was not a problem, we booked online. Common areas were bright and clean.

Pool area needed attention. Chairs in pool area were rusty. Chemicals from pool were very strong and no towels were available for the second time we used pool area.

They are pet friendly! One of the few! It was better than other La Quinta branches I have stayed at.

The electric sockets were child and adult-proof. Sought for help plugging the fridge and microwave and the front desk staff forgot to come up. Also, it was a summer weekend but the price was still a bit too high for a night. Carpet seemed like it was not vacuumed; found gum, bottle caps, among others.
