Boathouse Country Inn

Everything was good, especially the location, except one thing.

There are 2 buildings. One with motel rooms and one with two floors, with larger units upstairs. We stayed in one of those larger units. There was a strong and constant smell of propane gas from the tanks stored on the first floor of the building. I've asked the hotel people about it, but they said it was normal. To me, it didn't feel normal. I don't think this smell is there in the first building (motel rooms).

The room was great although the bathroom was a little small. Our room overlooked the St. Lawrence and had an amazing little balcony/patio to relax and watch the tour boats coming and going. The bed was good but could use an upgrade to something more comfortable and perhaps a king size. Overall though, a great experience and what you would expect from a country inn.

Everything was exceptional during our stay. The only problem I had was that there was no patio table umbrella on the balcony of Room 9. It was extremely hot on the balcony and an umbrella would have meant we could have enjoyed it outside more. The view of the St. Lawrence River was breathtaking, I could not have had a more excellent view. I appreciated my stay there immen

Good location right on the water and near the Catholic Church. Bed was comfortable and bathroom amenities were good. There’s a keurig provided so you don’t have to go seeking coffee first thing, which is especially helpful in the offseason. comfy Adirondack chairs on a deck out back get sun in the afternoon.

The walls are a little thin so if the next room is noisy you may hear it.

Very charming and quaint hamlet for an overnight respite. The Cornwall Pub serves very good fare at reasonable prices. The staff are friendly and helpful.

My mattress was lumpy and saggy and the outside light which we could not turn off, shone through the closed blinds and prevented me from getting a restful sleep. The only eateries closed very early. thankfully we were able to grab dinner just before closing and the food and service were very good for the price.

We organised our own breakfast at the balcony with nice view to the river; we also took the 1000 islands boat tour locally which is very convenient (and you get a discount). Having two rooms, we shard a common balcony which was nice.

The pub closes at 7pm, so no option for local dining. There is lots of mosquitos and other stuff which gets into the room if you're not careful enough. We spent 30 minutes each evening chasing them.

First night was a bit of a kerfuffle as the gas fireplace wasn't working, but once that was fixed we were very happy. Very nice, quaint country Inn. I'd definitely go back again.

The facility is located right at the small port, which makes your wake-up-view just stunning :) We had one room in the main part on the 1st floor and one in the bungalow next to car parking. We spent only one night but we're very happy about our stay. Clean and comfy! The only thing that we completely don't understand is why the bar opens at 11 am?! We were starving in the morning and were not able to have breakfast anywhere close to the facility. I understand covid changes, but life goes on and people want to eat ;)

Very clean. Friendly staff and great location. The best feature for us was the free docking outside our room with separate trailer storage allowing us to keep the boat in the water our entire stay and have our vehicle at the front door!

Would like another dining alternative as only one restaurant and was busy but food was good. Locals come over on their boats for take-out and when the boat tours come in it’s hard to get a table. However, the staff did make some exceptions for us as we were staying at the hotel and that was appreciated.

Every thing was perfect nothing to dislike. Room and location were great and the room had a nice view of the water.

Nothing could haqve been better. Next time though we will book a room on ground level because we are seniors and the steps to out room was what we did not like.
