Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Sault Ste. Marie

Love the perfect location of this hotel. Travelling on a motorbike, we like to park and walk places after the day. Right across the parking lot from Chucks(get reservations for this bar type restaurant,it's busy), a 5 minute walk from shopping(Walmart etc). We had problems getting back in the room and the staff had it solved within 15 mins. Very pleasant and apologetic but you can't predict when the batteries go dead! Hot Breakfast had lots of choices and coffee 24 hr in the lobby

Can complain about the price but 2021 seems to be the year of the inflated hotel prices. Could be better but not as bad as some! Pool and facilities closed it's a wonder why they are so expensive.

The front desk was very accommodating and kind to there guests. The hotel was very clean as well as my room I stayed in. The breakfast was very small and did not feed enough people each morning and the selection did not satisfy me each morning, there was not much food to choose from.

The breakfast each morning could have been bigger and had more selection. I would have liked to have cereal, waffles or pancakes a bigger selection of fresh fruit etc.

The rooms were great! Very clean and up to date! It was a convenient location to many restaurants. The breakfast in the morning was above average from what he have experienced the past few years at other hotels. The staff was super friendly and the check in process was swift.

Room layout has a half wall to separate the bed area and sitting area, and has two TV in room, which have added convenience for couples to stay. Comfortable bed, a desk, nice seating space and a big washroom are all good features to have. The room is very quiet too.

our request for a ground floor room was accommodated. The reception staff were very pleasant. Restaurants and stores were close by.

the hot items for breakfast were not replenished adequately. there was no guide on the tv, so we had to keep flipping through all channels there was a limited selection of weights in the gym

Staff were friendly and polite Rooms were clean.

Small size for sleeping area -- my husband kept bumping his feet/legs against heater on outside wall. Walls not really sound-proof. Heard person walking around above us. Heard person cough in room beside us.

When we walked into the room it felt like a refrigerator. The thermostat wasn’t working properly - it kept blowing cold air - even when we put the temperature up - we just turned it off for the night and it wasn’t too cold out so it was fine. We should have changed rooms but for in late and we’re really tired.

We were really impressed with how clean the hotel was. We felt very safe staying here during covid. The staff was very accommodating. I called down the front desk for an additional blanket and they immediately brought it up. Didn’t have to wait at all. We would have loved to have used the pool but understand that during covid that wasn’t an option. We will definitely stay again when passing through Sault Ste Marie. Thanks!

the staff so so sweet and friendly, definitely made a great experience. the rooms were very clean and the water pressure in the shower was good.

the hot tub was closed in the pool area which wasn’t advertised on website

Perfect stop on our way through to BC. Quiet & comfortable. Staff was professional and very helpful, including those working during the check in and check out process, the breakfast attendant, and the person who called us promptly when we forgot something in the room. We enjoyed our stay and will book again in the future.
