Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Thunder Bay

Beautifully decorated throughout, making it look like an upscale Hilton. Exceptionally clean and organized. Efficient and friendly staff. Awesome pool and fitness room.

Great location, that matched our trip needs. We didn’t think we’ll stay more than a night sleep in our room but due to weather limitations we had to stay and we all had a blast. The pool was great and since we stayed in a family friendly suite we had plenty of room to hang out. The staff was very friendly , the breakfast buffet was excellent, the room were clean and above all the hotel was fully booked and there were many guests staying but everything was super quiet. We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed ourselves very much.

The room was very spacious and had everything we needed including a fridge, microwave and two queen sized beds. It was nicely decorated. There was a lot of parking. The breakfast was delicious and We appreciated the 24 hour coffee bar!

It was busy but we expected that on a weekend. The bathroom door is a sliding one and you can hear everything that happens within the room. The pool was packed for hours and there was a birthday party when we arrived. The pillows were horrible either too flat or too balloon like.

The room was excellent, The breakfast was good.

The snack area behind the main reception should offer more than just junk food. I went down hoping to find a protein bar and/or maybe some trail mix or mixed nuts. All they had was potato chips and chocolate bars. Even dedicating 20% or 25% of the shelf space to healthier snack options would be of huge benefit.

I booked a room with a King bed but got one with 2 queen beds. We have stayed here 3x in 2022, April, Sept (4 ppl/room) and again Dec, each time price increased dramatically last stay was quite expensive for a weeknight stay snd just 2 people.

We had a suite with two queen beds and a pullout sofa. It was spacious, clean, and met all our needs. Check-in was easy and the front-end staff was friendly and professional. I would stay at this hotel again next time I'm in Thunder Bay.

The breakfast is a little basic...could have had a few more fresh fruit options.

The staff upon checking were uninterested and Unprofessional. They were speaking with each other. They were not warm and welcoming. (Professionalism makes an enormous difference to customer experience).

Hotel feels brand new, and definitely has some features you find in larger, 4-star hotels. The lobby and breakfast area are good examples. You almost forget that you’re in Thunder Bay. In fact, the area surrounding the hotel isn’t all that nice, so it feels like an oasis of sorts.

Just the neighbourhood around the hotel, which feels old, and a bit rundown. There’s a hotel next door that should probably be demolished.

It felt very classy and was well decorated- the lighting, floors, walls, decor, music, Christmas tree was all so beautiful and felt like being in NYC.

The parking space was a little tight/ small, and I would have loved if there were a sauna and hot tub.
