TownePlace Suites by Marriott Saskatoon

I will start with the location of the hotel which I found to be convenient to restaurants and shopping. There was plenty of parking so we had no problems finding parking for our rental vehicle. The suite was large, comfortable, clean and well equipped. It exceeded our expectations. The bathroom was large and the shower excellent with plenty of hot water (with no variations in the temperature when showering during peak periods). In addition to the facilities offered, the staff were professional and friendly. We stayed four-nights and found the breakfast buffet in the morning to be great, with fresh hot food regularly placed out onto the buffet so it was always available. The pool is very large which is a nice change from postage sized pools that are easily overcrowded.

The only complaint I have in relation to this hotel is that there was no in room safe. There are facilities to place valuables in a safety deposit box at the front desk but that is inconvenient.

It was a clean, spacious room, I didn't spend a lot of time in it as came to visit with family & friends. The staff was friendly as little as I saw of them. As far as locations went it was ok as I drove to the city. I did have breakfast one morning and found it to be adequate for me.

I did spend one morning in the room trying to read but, another guest brought their yapping dog with them and left it in the room to howl and bark all morning which is so annoying. I ended up doing my reading in the lobby as it was quieter.

Room was big washroom was spacious. However, the storage space was a bit lacking and nothing special about the shower or bathtub. Breakfast was great. Lots of variety but still, I expect better for a hotel of this class.

Rather pricey for what you get. Not really suitable for a larger family and can only accommodate a max of 4 people per room despite the large kitchen space. Having a dishwasher was very nice, but it cannot fit the pots and pans and there was no dish soap or sponge to wash them by hand. Swimming pool was a huge let down for the price paid. Why is there no hot tub??? The location is not within walking distance of anything interesting to see. Felt isolated.

Checked-in was so easy with Adam at the front desk. Staffs and facilities were great specially their salt water pool. Breakfast was so nice and we were greeted by their super nice staff named Erwin. Bed and pillows were super comfy. loving the place as it's near to lots of restaurants. 170m away you'll have Chinese restaurant and few meters away or say 1 Km. you'll have Japanese foods and lots of western foods around. Parking is not an issue. there were lots. Perfect for family, Business trip or even for couple vacation. Love the place and will definitely comeback.

This was my second stay. It was a good choice both times. I like how clean, modern and comfortable the room is. You get a kitchenette with the most necessary utensils and cookware, a medium size fridge. The room and the bathroom have lots of space - you don’t feel like you are stuck even if you can’t go outside for multiple days (self isolation yay). You can pace the room, put away your luggage, you can workout comfortably. The shower is perfect. The bed is very comfortable, as well as the pillows. You also get a reasonable hot breakfast included (a choice of eggs, sausages/ham, potatoes, toasts, muffins, coffee (Americano), tea). The staff in this hotel is very pleasant and kind. I recommend you ask for a room further away from the elevator. Then it’s super quiet! Unless you get unlucky with the people next door.

Both times I stayed the air conditioner was … busted. It would not let me turn it off, the REALLY cold air flow would kick in no matter how you adjust the settings. I pretty much sucked it up the first time. Covered the AC with the chair and a pillow and still got sick. The AC just froze my legs and feet every day, as I had to work at the desk all day. The second visit it happened again, so I just called the front desk and they sent a maintenance guy who was able to fix this issue by replacing the remote control on the wall. Don’t hesitate to ask for help. Same goes with utensils or extra towels, extra toothpaste. Just ask.

Breakfast was great, pool has been the best pool we have every been in. Temperature was great, only down fall, no hot tub. Our room only had a shower and it leaked all over the floor, made it slippery. Bed was great, size perfect for my family. Room was little small, for being called a ‘suite’. Would we stay there again? YES IN A HEART BEAT!!!

The room was enormous, full kitchen facility, great view, the largest walk in shower I have ever seen, Paul Mitchell soap/ shampoo/ conditioner, 2 elevators, ice machine and pop machine on every floor, breakfast had many options, 24 hour gym, ample parking, and it was like $120. I was totally floored with everything about this place and it is my new place to stay when in Saskatoon. I hope all other Marriotts are even half as good as this one. Great job management team.

Only tweak I would have is a check in area that can accommodate more than 1 person at a time. I had to wait 7 minutes at check in behind 1 person. Maybe I was just tired from the trip but I was annoyed at that.

The breakfast was outstanding as well as the staff. This is a great place to stay with very clean rooms!

Our rooms are on the main level because we had our cat with us and the ice machine is just a little close to the our room. You could just hear it most of the night. Not a huge deal, really. There's also a vehicle in the very back of the hotel which looks like it's been there for years as all the tires are long flat. It seemed out of place.

We haven’t stayed in a hotel for quite some time. We had zero complaints or concerns. The room was as clean as the day it was opened, I’m quite sure. There was no trace of other people. No stray hairs. No unwashed bedding concerns. Pristine. 10/10. Will always choose the Marriott when we stay in Saskatoon.

The room set-up was a good surprise. It has good size kitchen, with normal size fridge (not the mini fridge), 2 burners ceramic cook top, large microwave, small coffee machine, dishwasher!!! You literally can live there. TV, dining table, 4 chairs, comfy armchair, mattresses were of good quality, lots of pillows, advanced and clean shower. Large closet with ironing board and iron. Small apartment. Close to Saskatoon south entrance, walking distance from large shopping center and restaurants. 10 out of 10 stars 🌟
