Hotel Sparre

Price-quality ratio was quite good. Accomondation was clean and most likely recently renovated. Room was slightly plainly decorated and equipped. Breakfast was simple, but still very valid and good from fresh ingridients. Location of the hotel in the middle of the city was good - all the main attractions can easily be reached by foot. Several restaurants and shops within few minutes walk.

The city block, where hotel is located, is in middle of maybe most busy are of city centrum. Streets passing the hotel are a bit narrow and easily crowded, so the hotel is slightly difficult to reach by car. The parking space offered by hotel can be very tight depending on which place you receive. The hotel entrance is very modest and not that notable.

A clean place to stay in the center of Porvoo with nice and welcoming personnel willing to answer any question. Dry and isolated indoor parking that cost only 15€. Spacious rooms. Delicious breakfast that contains everything one can wish: both meat and vegan dishes. It is very quiet: you never hear what your neighbors do. Just in several minutes walking from main Porvoo's cultural, architectural and historical sights.

Not too much space for parking. We got to Sparre hotel on motorcycle, and there was just one corner to park it. In the morning, before checkout, I went to check the bike and found that it is blocked by another motorcycle that had parking ticket at the same place. Double booking or something. So I had to get the bike to the street manually for not to damage other vehicles around. And HUUUUUGE pillows. Probably they are fine for most of guests, but as I have some vertebra problems, it was very hard to find a position to fall asleep.

Product : the hotel service was very clean and tidy, price was according to its level . Place which means the location of the hotel is the ideal one. Promotion : it was easily available at the book.com The people: We were satisfied with the customer friendly attitude of the staff Physical evidence : the staff got uniforms , the hotel logo is easily visible . Process : the way they treat the customer was great , a very well organised breakfast was there ,the bath room, comfortable bed with some facilities in the room were fine.

The location was great! Just walking distance from the old town. Also right next to the grocery store. We also liked the fact that they have parking spaces because we brought our car with us. The breakfast had good options for vegans, not a lot but better than other places we've been to. The place was also clean and rooms were spacious.

There was no mini fridge. I had to bring my portable fridge because I needed to store my child's milk.

Location cannot be beat - right smack in the center! The hotel is on the 3rd floor of a building and it was very convenient that they had a balcony there where smoking was allowed (did not have to go down and to the street).

It would have been good to have a mini-fridge in the room to store one's drinks, medicine etc. They did not even have a minibar. Also, seems there is no air conditioning so I am not going to stay there during summertime, it would be too hot!

Excellent location a stone’s throw away from the old town. Very good breakfast. Basic, but clean room.

The room was a bit too warm. It was a warm, sunny day when we arrived and the shades weren’t drawn. With the help of a fan we were able to drop the temperature, but the first night was slightly uncomfortable.

The location of hotel Sparre is just great, very handy in the centre of Borgå. Our room was of decent size, the double bed very comfortable. Wi-fi excellent. Breakfast was fantastic. Very friendly and helpful staff.

Nothing. Can’t say anything was missing, all was to our liking.

We have learned to pack extra room darkening supplies. Even with blackouts, during Midsummer the rooms are bright all night. We hung our own dark sheets with clothes pins so we could sleep.

The room was very noisy since the windows face the busy street. Also a side note: there are no common sauna shifts, so you can't enjoy sauna with a partner of the opposite sex. Sauna shift for women is 1 hour, while for men it's 2 hours. How about making the middle hour unisex so everyone is welcome??

Don’t let the rather unwelcoming building fool you, this is a cozy place inside. Comfort rooms recently renovated and very cozy, breakfast also tasty. Loved the colours in the room and the look of the breakfast room/bar. Also fell in love with the Marimekko plates and mugs so must buy them home as well. Absolutely excellent service, friendly and accommodating. Excellent location next to old town and the river.
