Campanile Albi Centre

This hotel/hostel is inside the Montserrat monastic complex, which is an enormous advantage, as you step out of the hotel and right into the monastery sights (if you have a car, you may park it at the complex’s parking lot – paid but very convenient, also very safe, it has camera surveillance). This is a no-frills place, simple but with all the important things a short-time traveller needs: a sparkling clean room and linens, private bathroom (only with no soap and shower gel, no big deal, bring your own), heating in winter, hot water. Very quiet. Our room had a view to the monastery. There is a communal kitchen on the basement. The reception staff are polite and extra helpful. Good value.

We liked the location, just a short walk to the center of Albi. It was clean, quiet, comfortable. We liked the outdoor terrace and landscaping. We liked that there was a kettle to make tea.

The breakfast buffet was very crowded when the hotel was busy. The breakfast itself was quite good. It was just hard to make toast and boil eggs when it was busy.

The staff were extremely helpful and quick to ask if we needed anything. Service was very good. We enjoyed the breakfast. Ideally situated for walking into the centre. The air conditioning was a life saver as the heatwave had begun and was 40 degrees C outside but very comfortable in the room.

For some reason the sat nav struggled to direct us. The hotel did not stand out - it looked as if it was part of the health/nursery facility opposite.We drove around for some time before locating the hotel off Blvd Sault.

Confortable and clean. We had to wait a few minutes to check in (to be fair, we arrived ten minutes before official check in time), but no problem really, as the hotel is very close to the city center, so we took a walk to Albi and returned later. Easy check-in procedure, although, do be prepared to show some proof of covid status. Free citris scented shower gel/shampoo in the bathrooms, and hot water kettle and supplies for 2 cups of tea..very nice detail. Large TV and wifi. The stay at the hotel was great, and worth the money if even just to avoid having to find and pay for parking within Albi. Thanks Capanile Albi Center.

The parking lot is a bit tight when most the spaces are ocuppied, but we managed after a while with our long station wagon.

Was very quiet and comfortable, it even has a kettle and enough to make a cup of tea or coffee. Breakfast was good and the location and parking is an added benefit

We were late booking so were in a disabled room and the automatic tap was annoying, it needed a hand under to activate but that was only a very minor thing.

Private parking and good simple breakfast. Very close to the city center.

The room was facing the street, which was more noisy during the night compared to the rooms facing the park were I've stayed before. Certainly will get back, but if possible to choose, not in a room facing the street.

Location was very close to the city a 5 minute walk straight down the street into the attraction, very quiet and comfortable.

The breakfast wasn’t as described and the prices had gone up €12.90.

cleaning can be improved regarding the floor and bathroom but the rest was good.

Breakfast was good. Food was fresh. The room was quiet, and felt very secure. Parking was easy. It was very close to the centre of town. Would definitely book again.

Rooms of this type of hotel are always on the small side. But they are perfectly adequate for a good nights sleep . Stairs were a bit difficult with luggage. Would request ground floor another time.
