The Originals Boutique, Hotel Cassitel, Cassis

Location is FABULOUS--right near the harbor, where all the restaurants are, and just up the street from the bus stop, where we got the shuttle to the car park where we parked our rental car (hotel has no parking). It's also right near one of the main beaches. Many people complain in reviews about the noise, but we were contacted by the hotel ahead of time and asked if we wanted a "quiet" room (I think this means in the back), and we said yes, and it was plenty quiet (and we are light sleepers). We had plenty of tea and coffee in the room, and the room was cool, though it was very hot outside while we were there. We were able to walk straight from the hotel to hike the Calanques, to hike up to Cape Canaille, and to all restaurants and beaches.

Staff were diffident or even surly. Also, as many note, there's no elevator, but we didn't care about that.

Location was great, right in the middle of Cassis. It is close to a couple of restaurants and hot spots for people, so there would be noise during the night, but noise isolation was quite good considering the orientation of our room. We had a small room but it was appropriate in size for two people, beds were comfortable as well. We liked to have the shower and sink separate from the toilet, the water heater available and the refill of tea we had every day. Overall very pleasant stay! Also a big thanks to the reception person who helped us book a cab to the train station through our very broken French. Highly appreciated!

We needed some assistance to get to the hotel as we arrived late at night, and had trouble communicating in English or Spanish, which was a bit troublesome particularly as the hotel description mentions these languages are spoken. Not a bad thing necessarily and we managed to communicate, but something to keep in mind.

Lovely little hotel with cute little balconies! The hotel staff was very friendly and attentive! Parking in a public lot was available very close by and there was a market right outside in the morning - Great place to stay!

The hotel staff was very friendly and attentive! The people in town and at restaurants were not very friendly to english speaking tourists.... but I guess that is what you get sometimes when travelling to small towns in France? :)

Location was on the waterfront yet on the side street. view up to the castle from the balcony. Breakfast was very good - lots to choose from - fresh pastries every morning. Room was clean. Location was excellent.

Front of house staff were varied some ready to help others indifferent. Parking in Cassis is a nightmare, steep streets, old village so - understandable.

The first impressions beat my expectations. The reception area was clean and very stylish! The staff were smiley and helpful. They upgraded us free of charge to a better room without us even asking. The room was spacious and clean. The aircon was working and the room was cool. The corridors of the hotel were nice and the location was superb for all shops, bars and is in the heart of Cassis. The only thing would be that the people next to us were noisy and kept slamming their door! This, of course is not the fault of the hotel. We had a great stay and would happily stay here again!

Noisy guests next door. Perhaps people could be advised to not slam doors.

Should explain better about parking out of town with free shuttle bus. Its a wonderful idea to avoid cars in town as parking is non existent. If this was explained in an English translated leaflet then one may not misunderstand like we did. ALSO A MIRROR IN BEDROOM WOULD BE GREAT. We did have one in bathroom to be fair. One socket in bedroom is too little for travellers in 2023!

Amazing location, good breakfast, good rooms, very clean, friendly staff

Had a bit of a scare when checking in - our flight was delayed and we arrived at the hotel at 2am. We were told the reception was 24 hours but all the lights were off and the doors were locked… we finally got in after getting help from a local, by knocking hard on the front doors. We had specifically mentioned that we would be arriving late so this was disappointing - but the hotel is great and everybody is super friendly - we had no other issues on the trip.

Perfect location, room on the castle side is quiet, staff kind, comfortable room / bed.

All good for me, but the bathroom and shower can be a bit small for a tall - large person. :)

Perfect location to enjoy Cassis. The room was simple but perfect for or stay. The breakfasts were fresh and prompt. Service was helpful and attentive. We could not have dreamed such an adventure! And the local food! Wow - I am already fantasizing about a return visit!

A fridge in the room, and perhaps real soap. But both were minor observations.

Location is excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms and bathroom very clean. Staff gave us a room on the quiet side of hotel and there was zero issues. Bathroom is very small is only reason we rated 9/10 instead of 10/10. Again the location is excellent.
