B&B HOTEL Clermont-Ferrand A71-A75 La Méridienne

The hotel is very good and the vast majority of staff are friendly and helpful. The facilities are good with an excellent restaurant and a lovely sky bar. Having stayed a few times, We have probably marked it harsher than it generally deserves, but the balance of the previous visit influences that. We will stay again though and generally recommend it as a great stopover.

The chap on reception is shockingly rude and arrogant. We have stayed at this hotel 5 times and always found it fine. On the most recent stay in June, we were allocated a room which stunk of smoke. On complaining and asking for a. room change, the reception guy refused point blank saying they were full and then became abusive shouting at us as he was too busy dealing with incoming guests. After eventually engaging with the manager, we were moved and upgraded, but it did ruin the stay.

The reception staff were very welcoming and helpful. The hotel feels new and is exceptionally clean. The location is handy for the motorways and only 5 minutes drive from the centre of town. We stayed in a Quad room, the twin beds were in there own side room but still within our room which is perfect for families. it was also hand that the toilet and shower basin were separate, lifesaver in a family room. Car park had no height barriers (our vehicle is 2 m ) and well lit.

I would have loved a hot drink when we arrived at 9pm. However the restraint was closed and the vending machines only supply cold drinks and snacks.

Great hotel easy to find just off the motorway. Whilst the room was fairly basic it was very clean . Good to have the restaurant in the same building, food was very good with great staff. Breakfast was very good with lots of choice and very fresh. Was unsure what to expect so was pleasantly surprised Will be staying again

A shame we couldn't get a drink upon arrival, after a long drive would have great to have a beer or similar.. that was the only b Negative.

Very comfy beds, smart TV and great staff. Food in restaurant was very good. Good location as we were driving back to Barcelona from Calais. Safe and secure parking with a night watchman. Lovely roof top bar although was full when we tried to go around 9pm.

The breakfast was quite limited and I thought very expensive at €8,50 for anyone over 10 years old. Wifi didn’t work all evening.

This was our first stay at a hotel in the "B&B" chain - and we would certainly stay with this group again based on our experience in Clermont Ferrand. The room was a decent size for a "budget" chain, immaculately clean and well decorated. We decided to eat in the attached restaurant in the evening and had a very reasonable meal at a good price. We took the breakfast option (also in the restaurant) next morning - a very extensive buffet with lots of fresh produce and good coffee (even out of a machine!).

that the bar and restaurant closes on a bank holiday (like yesterday). I know they’re a separate company, but you should reach an agreement, as the immediate surroundings do not offer good food or drinking establishments… so we turned up quite late not knowing and it was really disappointing not to have been able to have enjoyed a nice meal and a gin and tonic…

Very nice clean and modern hotel. The stay exceeded our expectation. We loved the rooms which had more then enough space, the a/c was good and overall we were very happy.

The restaurant was closed and seeing as we arrived on a french holiday, getting a meal was very difficult. The parking was also full which meant we had to park just outside the hotels perimiter. This was however not a problem!

It was close to the highway. The room was spotless. A nice size and beds comfortable. Showers good. Breakfast was a reasonable price and delicious. The TVs in the rooms have Chromecast so you can use your phone to cast your Netflix or other accounts to it. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The interior design was funky. I'll be back in summer to explore their rooftop restaurant.

The room was perfectly adequate with decent shower and good soundproofing. The public areas and facilities were outstanding. The restaurant and bar provided excellent evening meals and breakfast and the rooftop bar was absolutely amazing. Plenty of parking - very happy except for wifi

WiFi connectivity was quite poor (although free) on third floor.

Newer hotel with a traveling theme throughout. Very affordable, and cleaned, with friendly staff.

The towels and sheets were not very good quality. The AC system was still “off” and it was very hot. the breakfast buffet was very small with no fresh fruit.
