Hôtel Montchapet Dijon Centre

Pascal & his work associate were super helpful on many avenues, especially restaurant suggestions. All were excellent, they were always at reception to assist when needed. Hotel was a very brief 10 min walk to city centre where all action, shopping, & restaurants. Train station is a very short walk to this hotel as well.

I was offered an upgrade to stay in a flat that they offer which is a room with a little kitchen area, bit more space. Was very reasonable & very grateful for my 4 day stay at the hotel

Great location for a stroll into the city centre. Room was clean and comfortable. Reception staff were friendly and helpful, and has discounts for local restaurants. Reception smelled damp and musty, which was a concern, but the rooms were perfectly fine. Parking was on the street or in a local multi-storey but it was a quiet neighbourhood and the reception staff assured me my car (Ferrari) would be fine overnight. It was - he even checked it in the morning to reassure me as soon as I entered reception.

Nice staff. Great location. Very clean. Basic but everything you need. We stayed 2 nights. Great value for money. Breakfast was good to. Very popular hotel i can see why. The shutters you close on your window blocks out any noise from outside. So very quiet You walk everywhere. We even walked to djon ville traiin station for our train trip to spain.

Very friendly reception from our host 'Pascal' who was more than friendly and extremely helpful. Pascal pointed out how we could best take advantage of the wonderful surroundings of Dijon by taking a lovely evening stroll through the city centre to enjoy the lovely architecture

We were just looking for a place to stay the night on our drive home from holidays so we weren't picky, but Hotel Montchapet exceeded our needs and expectations by a long shot. We only had the one evening to explore beautiful Dijon, but Montchapet is the perfect place to do that from. It's on the edge of the old city center, but in a quiet street, so you can go and wander around and see the sights with ease, but also get an undisturbed night of sleep. The room and bathroom were large, clean and comfortable, the person at reception friendly and helpful.

The beds were so comfortable! We slept well. Room is also clean and inviting. I have to mention the receptionist as well, he was very helpful and friendly, we had a problem with the ac not turning on and although busy, he helped us. plus he was also funny and easy going which made it feel easy to approach for anything that we needed help with.

A bit of smell that seem to be coming from the toilet in the hallway. in the room, there was no smell at all which is definitely a relief!

Great quality for the price. Minimalistic but adequate. Clean/crisp linen. Small but all right. Nice and quiet neighborhood within walking distance to downtown proper. Parking available on city streets around hotel (free after 7 pm until 9 am next morning).

Hotel is in the old building so everything is small and narrow - it has its own charm though.

Special thanks to Matthew for all his help; i.e. figuring out the parking meter(s), help with GPS, tips on sights, restaurants, and shopping. Made my stay so much easier. And speaks very good English! Room is perfect size for a solo traveler. Small but very compact w/modern facilities. Bed was comfortable. Highly recommend!

easy street parking walking distance from the city centre nice clean room - quiet environment: we had a very good night's sleep nice, welcoming and helpful staff

it would have been good to have some plant-based alternatives: not many, though, just some soya milk for the coffee, for example, or coconut yogurt (to go with the cereals)

- Handily located between train station and centre of town - Bathroom was recently renovated with a spacious shower - Comfortable bed

- Ground floor room was close to the road & passers-by’s, might be issues with noise if you like open windows.
