Hôtel Le Yachtman

The entire staff was amazing especially the seasoned man at the front desk. I can't remember names. Also the man running the breakfast offerings. The staff is professional, caring and efficient. I saw them fixing things in addition to their regular duties. Dedicated and kind. I loved the facilities but I think the staff is what makes the hotel top notch. I would go again and recommend the hotel to others. Yes the location is great. I had an inner courtyard room so it was as quiet as you can get being across from the marina. Thank you

The bathroom toilet in the shower area had a slight smell at times but not always. The AC is kept at specific minimum which you have no control over so if you like it real cold it won't happen. The nights cooled down when I was there so it was fine and the pool is fantastic!

Very convenient location in the centre of La Rochelle opposite the harbour. The bed was extremely comfortable and the position of our room meant it was very quiet. There was aircon in the room and this was supplemented by a portable aircon unit which was a Godsend. The staff were very helpful and friendly. They asked whether we would prefer to speak English or French and we said we didn't mind but they did speak excellent English which was useful 😉 because of a parking problem we had.

The only thing I would say is that it would have been useful to know that the hotel had a height restriction on their car park because we have a roof box on our car which made it impossible to enter the car park. The staff were so helpful though and explained alternative parking in great detail. 👍

The room was recently refurbished and felt as though we were the first to stay there. A very comfortable bed and excellent bathroom. The shower was superb with luxurious towels provided. Breakfast had everything you could want. We were given a choice of how we would like our eggs. We chose scrambled.

The parking is not so good. You can only stop outside the hotel to unload, then you must find somewhere else to park. The paper table clothes are our only other complaint.

Everything about this hotel was fabulous, location absolutely ideal, right on the harbour front, close to all other amenities. staff very helpful, and cleanliness of hotel was fantastic

No proper bar to keep us in the hotel, although lots of others close by to visit. car parking a little away and one of those awkward multi story carparks that worry you every corner you go round

Rooms were clean and quiet, furnishings and decoration were fresh and comfortable. The hotel’s location was exceptional - right on the harbour side but just far enough away from the bars and bistros to be peaceful. Breakfast options were varied, and good quality.

Nothing. It was undergoing some work in the pool and on the lower floor during the stay, but was discounted accordingly.

Very accommodating staff with good sense of humour. Comfortable room. We enjoyed the pool. Staff helpful with directions to parking and leaving luggage at reception. Excellent breakfast in lovely dining room with view over the port with very polite and attentive member of staff helping with coffee machine. Welcomed with a smile!

Superb hotel location, right on the Old Port in the middle of everything! Super-friendly and professional staff - nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast a little pricey, but excellent choice of lots of organic and healthy options.

It would have been nice to have a kettle in our room.

Breakfast good value and more than I could eat. Location superb overlooking quayside and port. So pretty and everything close by with lots to see and do. I will be staying there again when I visit La Rochelle. Staff so friendly and helpful.

The stairs at the front were a little high for a person of poor mobility but these look like the original in an old building. Not sure there’s anything to do except another handrail perhaps.

Excellent location. Very helpful and friendly staff. Lovely spacious room with very comfortable bed and plenty of electrical sockets for charging phones etc. Excellent buffet breakfast even offering scrambled eggs and bacon. The hotel was on the process of a refurbishment but this did not detract from anything.
