Campanile Metz Centre - Gare

Very close to station, yet quiet.

The aircon did not work properly. Room very hot. No windows could be opened.

Comfortable, clean room with a very large, comfortable bed and well-sized bathroom. Our room was very quiet. The hotel is about an 8 minute walk from the old town. The hotel's agreement with a nearby parking garage was very convenient, although we were a little confused about the process at first. It ended up being easy - park first, go to the hotel and pay the reduced parking rate there, receive another parking ticket to act as a sort of voucher in the carpark when you leave. The 12pm checkout was very convenient, allowing time to explore Metz in the morning before we left.

Although the room was a good size, there was annoyingly not enough space to open up our suitcase properly. There was a stain by the desk that looked like it had been cleaned and treated, but it was fairly unsightly.

Comfortable and quiet room. Great breakfast from scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, hash browns fruits and juices, yogurt, traditional breads and croissants,a variety of juices, coffee and teas, all for a reasonable cost. Plenty of seating including an outdoor area.

A bit confusing in finding this hotel as it is next to a very busy train station with buses, cars and taxis adding to the hustle and bustle. The restaurant was unfortunately closed but restaurants are available and close by. A parking garage was close by and the hotel gave a parking card that allowed for a significant discount.

The staff helped me to keep some dairy gifts stored during my stancy. The bed was really cosy and my room was quiet and the windows were Wide with blackout curtains, so I could have all the sunlight in the morning and the Dark at bedtime.

There was just a misunderstanding with the payment and the deposit which would have been avoided if I would have been informed of the deposit retention beforehand and the staff would have cross checked before I left. But still got sorted after a few days. So my advice is always check and ask for an invoices when it comes about check-ins and check-outs.

Difficult to understand staff members with their heavy French accent. They were all very helpful but all members in my family had to listen so that we could collectively piece together the instructions. None of us understood fully but when we collected our info we could piece together the complete info.

Hotel is located next to the main convention center. Very easy walking access to and from the train station Metz Ville. Check and check out easy. Rooms a decent size, Nice breakfast area with outside seating if you wanted. Also well located to a major shopping mall, the Muse and the Pompidou Arts Centre

Poor air conditioning. Cannot be controlled from the room and the staff could not adjust the temperatures and could not explain to you what was wrong. Had to open windows and then it was noisy because of the train station adjacent to that side of the hotel.No fitness centre

The rooms with separate beds are just made for bussiness trip with colleagues. The breakfast was extraordinary: you can choose between hot meal (eggs, bacon, potato pucks), cold meals (ham, various cheese), youghurt, french vienoisserie (croissant etc.). In addition, cofee, juice, water, milk, tea.

Few receptionists could not speak English very well, which was a bit bad for few of my colleagues that don't speak French. Anyway, there was always someone English-speaking from the staff, who could be called.

Spacey rooms with modern furniture and a god well-functionning bathroom. Placed just on side of the railway station (but no noise) and very close to the G. Pompidou center.

The area around hotel is quiet restricted and there are no signs where is the entrance to parking place, (= in which hotel has places). There should be issued a description how to reach the parking lot and sent to clients together with room reservation.

The location for brilliant- right in the heart of the city and where I needed to be. The room was spacious enough for my needs and so was the bathroom. Tea and Coffee and biscuits where provided which made me feel very pampered.

I tried to redeem my car park ticket but the ticket didn’t work in the car park itself so I ended up paying an awful lot for parking! I’m sure this could have been an error on my party though…

Convenient location close to historic town centre. Sound proof rooms. Large clean comfortable rooms with a/c. Handy having kettle in room. Good value for money. Kids liked the table football in the lounge. Courteous friendly staff.

Internet wasn't working but not really an issue for us. Initial room allocated to us the air con wasn't working but staff helpfully changed rooms for us to one that worked. No parking on site but there was a nearby car park at Gare Pompidou that was subsidised and felt secure.
