The staff are all wonderfully friendly and helpful. The water station in the lobby with cold, cool, and hot water with teas and flavorings was a wonderful feature, plus some tempting little pieces of cake on offer. We appreciated the invitation to help the environment by filling the provided glass bottle with drinking water, using our towels twice, and the unbleached-but-soft toilet paper. Breakfast was a great buffet in a charming basement dining room, well worth the additional charge. Our room turned out to be a sort of suite with extra beds and many pillows. Luggage storage during a day trip was also very welcome.

Summer travellers should be warned that this is a very old building and there is no air-conditioning in the rooms. We were fortunate to arrive just as a cold front and thunderstorm came through, and there was a fan in the room which helped bring in the cooler air. The street is being repaved, and the entrance to the hotel is not immediately obvious.

The location, design of the room and the hotel have beautiful and cosy color shades. It’s not too extreme and not too ordinary. Perfect combo of yellow shades with a dark grey ones make you feel like you are in a sunny room even in the evening time. I like those little retro French pictures all over the place. Vintage mirrors also give the hotel certain charm. Despite the walls are a bit thin, but still the location and hospitality of the staff wins. If you want a quick and comfortable stay in Nancy I highly recommend this one. PS also it has an elevator and free coffee spot near reception area.

I booked a Single Room and was pleasantly surprised at how light and spacious it was, with large doors opening onto quaint little balcony. Location was excellent. Staff at Reception Desk were very friendly & provided excellent info: for example, of a Light Show on the Saturday evening in Place Stanislas (which Tourist Info Office had failed to mention!). It was spectacular! Plan to visit the City again next year & will most definitely stay here again.

Cannot fault anything

I had some issue with the invoice (my fault) and the lady at the reception desk was very helpful and has sent me the appropriate invoice by e-mail, many thanks! I liked that the hotel was just some steps away from my conference venue. And, it is in a walking distance to the main touristic attraction, the Stanislas square, too. The lady serving breakfast was very kind with a broad smile every morning - a good start of the day!

We traveled by train and it is close to the station, nice area, big open space over the road, with trees, very pretty, always felt safe. Reception staff, very pleasant and helpful. Tiny lift my husband used it, I walked up the stairs we were on the 4th floor. Nice staircase. You could not hear outside noise, very quiet.

Breakfast consisted on cereals, yoghurt, fruit salad, pastries, cheeses, meat and bread. Nothing hot, but it was adequate.

Rarely had such a great and high quality breakfast! We almost spent two hours having breakfast, because on the one hand, we got up very early and the breakfast room was completely empty. On the other hand, the buffet was really very good! Can only recommend booking the breakfast in addition to the room! Additionally, the receptionist was very open and helpful and the location of the hotel was also very good!

big room with curtains that kept the sunlight out, a fan and tv as well. it’s in such an awesome spot of town which was super close to shops and the main square. the staff were lovely and there was free coffee and water (including sparkling).

the elevator was super super small and sometimes took a very very long time to come but the stairs were perfectly fine to use

Great friendly and helpful staff. Perfect location just 5 min away from the train station. The room was spacious and really well heated - enough even for rare snowy days.

I understand your efforts in saving electricity, but only one weak light bulb for a big room is definitely not enough for most people. When directed up, the 2 reading lights help, but I needed general light, especially in winter. I understand your efforts in saving water, but please install dividers on shower floor. Taking shower for longer than 3-5 minutes is impossible - after this time water starts flowing out to the bathroom floor. The bathroom floor, by the way, was quite dirty.

Clean room with nice decor. Bed was comfortable. Good bakery just around the corner. Windows that open for fresh air. Electric kettle for a cuppa.

The house elevator is very small and a bit dodgy so we ended up using stairs instead. You can hear people upstairs when they are walking with heels etc. Room is quite small - we arrived late and only staid over night so wasn't really an issue for us. Parking on the streets was a bit of a puzzle to start with but we found some free overnight parking on a parallel street.

The evening receptionist was extremely helpful and professional. It was a pleasure speaking with him and with other members of the staff. The breakfast waitress was also very helpful and dedicated. The bed is extremely comfortable and the heating is more than enough, I felt comfortable in the room. The buffet breakfast was very good and varied. I ate for the rest of the day.

If one pays a high price, one normally gets exceptional quality. Here, I paid a very good last minute offer price and I got very good benefits for it, so I am very satisfied. Perhaps, the management could send a carpenter to room 206 to fix how the door closes, it is not easy to close it and one needs to bang the door, which I suppose is a nuisance for other guests. Also, the room overlooks the inner court, there is a noise coming from the kitchens or the air system. I always travel with ear plugs and I nevertheless could sleep well.
