Best Western Plus Hôtel Vannes Centre Ville

Most likely the best Best Western I have been to worldwide. Exceed expectations. Location excellent. Not even a leisurely 5-10 minute walk to the old town and port. Reception was friendly and helpful. Reserved parking spacious. There is public parking just opposite the hotel. Room was of a decent size. The bed was extremely comfortable. Liked the small balcony with table and chair. Bathroom well designed and equipped. Cleaning lady very friendly and helpful. Didn’t try the restaurant but looked good. Nice outdoor patio area for drinks. Supposedly has a sauna and fitness area. Per-friendly. Would recommend.

Fabulous duplex room on two floors with a balcony. Great size, very comfy beds. Spacious bathroom with a tub and big shower heads. Felt like recently refurbished? Generous choice of food at breakfast (selection of bread and pastry, cereals, fruit, yogurts, sausages etc). Within walking distance of the town centre. Paid parking in the garage.

Just a minor thing: kettle and cups for four instead of two?

This is such a great hotel. Clean, friendly, spacious & easy! We have stayed twice now & easily go back. Great duplex rooms if you travel with children. Our loved it!

Our only issue would be the hotel menu for the evening to eat at the hotel. It’s quite limited to mainly salad & not very child friendly. So we have to eat out rather than at the hotel. Which some nights would much easier to do.

Perfect venue for a stopover on the way to Roscoff. Great location as a base from which to explore Vannes with an easy walk to the port and the ramparts, comfortable room, clean & spacious. Options to eat dinner at the hotel too.A great variety of choices for breakfast which made for a perfect start to our travelling day.

Nothing springs to mind although would suggest a non slip mat for the shower/bath as it was slippy.

I spent nine weeks travelling around France, and this was one of the best hotels I stayed in. The room was spacious, light, and comfortable. It was incredibly clean and tidy, and had everything you needed (lots of towels, nice bathroom products, coffee machine). The bedding and pillows were high quality, and the room was silent! It’s about a 10 minute walk from the historic centre, and a 15 minute walk to get to the train station (with a heavy suitcase). Would absolutely stay here again.

Our room was very good and the breakfast had plenty of choice. We had some issues, our car would not go into the garage due to the slope (car is a low sports car) the manager found us another secure car park close by, he went beyond what you expect. My wife had a fall and had a nasty deep gash in her hand that required attention, The staff arranged a taxi to the clinic where they cleaned and stitched her hand. We have nothing but praise for the staff.

Nothing it was all good. This was probably the best Best Western hotel we have stayed in.

Good location, rooms are basic but comfy and quiet, bed is good. Rooms on the back have a nice view on a beautiful mural.

Most of the staff seem confused on how to give proper service. Some of them don't even speak English which should be the bare minimum for hospitality. Breakfast is very limited though expensive. Overall slightly overpriced for what you get.

The hotel is very well located, out of the main hub but within an easy ten minutes’ walk of the old town and lots of bars and restaurants. Breakfast is good with plenty of choice and well organised Covid-wise. We enjoyed a drink on the Terrasse despite the fact that it all feels a bit corporate- but we were happy to be in a clean, modern hotel with comfy beds and parking. The standard room really felt too small but we appreciated the balcony although the door (room 103) out onto it would not lock. We reported this and had every expectation that it would be swiftly resolved but was not. The following day the aircon stopped working. A courteous and helpful gentleman came to our aid and with both issues unfixable switched us to an upgraded room, which was much bigger and super - so huge thanks for that! I would stay here again and would go for a superior room for comfort and space. Parking is perfect - secure and convenient.

Great city centre location with excellent secure parking. The bedroom at the back was a little small but really comfortable - above all it was quiet and we had a good nights sleep. Breakfast was somewhat simple but perfectly acceptable for a night or two's stay Easy walk into into the old town and port area where there were excellent places for dinner.

Nothing really if you accept limitations of evening meal availability - more than set off by the proximity of the old town restaurants

Breakfast was great, location superb. Staff excellent, friendly, meals in jars were a very good substitute while work was going on in the kitchen/restaurant.

The noise from the street. Our room was on the third floor but one morning, at about 5, we were kept awake for almost an hour by the garbage bins, lorry and the people talking to one another. It sounded as though our windows were opened which were not! Question of insulation?
