InterContinental Berlin, an IHG Hotel

The location and the room was big.

There was a very big conference on and the hotel was very busy and noisy especially at breakfast. also a lot of the Hotel lobby and bar areas were taken over for the conference. The Hotel was also undergoing renovations which was not ideal and made you feel like your were in a construction zone especially when you had to walk through tradespeople ripping up carpet etc.

We stayed in a family room which was a very good size, clean and included a very good sized bathroom. The breakfast was superb, lots of choice, and the service was very friendly. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful including answering the phone pretty much immediately when we needed to call form our room. The swimming pool is a good size for a city hoel. The hotel is in a very good location for exploring the city with a bus stop right out front.

The swimming pool was a little cold, particularly considering the charge of 10 euros per adult/5 euros per child.

Amazing staff from the front desk to breakfast people, to restaurant’s guys. Great location- a lot of cafe’s and shops of all sorts are walking distance, but you get none of the noise and commotion. Spacious room! We were 2 adults+ two kids, had a big double bed + sofa-bed and the crib,too + a big island in the center to keep things from smaller kids’ reach. Breakfast was to die for! Not an obnoxious amount of food, but everything was delicious and the options were very different. We’ve visited quite a few hotels but this one was one of the best ones. Congee, pancakes, granola bar, omletes and everything else were superb. Thank you, we can’t fault (nor do we want to) anything! COMING back for sure!

Two very minor issues: our room had some issues with vibrating pipes that made noise. Hotel staff was very fast to move us (and help moving us) to another room. Excellent job done. Another minor: our room had issues with the TV connection. German programs (ARD and ZDF) were disrupted a couple of times, sound was cut frequently. But really, none of that was a major inconvenience. So, big praise for the efficient and friendly staff at Interconti.

Centrally located hotel , within walking distance to eateries , shopping and tourist sites. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast had a nice selection. Room was clean and spacious enough for 2.

The only negative was the shower which was placed above a bathtub which got very slippery during baths. Had to be extremely careful to not slip and fall as there was no anti-slip mat provided. Informed by another hotel guest that some rooms came with separate shower cubicles. This rooms may be more suitable especially for the elderly.

The property is close to the zoo and shoppings like 15min walking and the staffs are friendly and foods great

No walking access to the subway system would always need to take a bus or walk for 15min. The rooms were a little old, I had to change my room due to a bad smell from the pipe, the lights were blinking in both rooms and the 2nd room s tv turn off in the middle of the chrome cast, which was a big pain. The breakfast is ok but I would expect it to be better with more variety everyday. We stayed for 5 days so in the third day no one wanted to eat anything.

The room was lovely, spacious and the hotel is very central. The staff were very welcoming and nothing was too much hassle. In our refurbished room we had a bath and a separate shower. I would never usually use a bath, but it was very much needed after the half marathon!

The stay was perfect. My only suggestion would be to reduce the price of the pool and spa access, or offer pricing to accomodation customers who only want access for a short time (1/2 hours).€20 seemed a bit expensive to use a pool and sauna, especially as most people probably only want access for an hour or so.

Doormen, front desk staff, and spa staff were wonderful, happy, and a complete joy to talk to. We never felt rushed and they were so helpful. We were in town for the Berlin Half Marathon, and the staff was supportive and high-fiving us, asking how the race went, etc. We had a slight issue with young children being disruptive in the spa, and after we politely mentioned it to a staff member the issue was taken care of immediately.

A few of the breakfast staff looked a little lost and unsure of their jobs, but maybe they were new. It didn't affect our visit in any way.

Room was great, spacious with the most clean bathroom ever. Housekeepers are really engaged in their work as the Hotel and the rooms are exceptionally clean. Reception staff was very efficient and kind. Food was super tasty and of great quality, while the restaurant staff was also pleasant and kind. Location is fantastic as you can enjoy wonderful walks in the surrounding Tiergarten, while all touristic spots and shopping areas are pleasant walk away from the Hotel.

Room was perfect. The location was very good. It was not so close to the landmarks but they were easily reachable by bus which stop was directly in front of the hotel. Staff were nice and accomodating.

Parking is too expensive. Cannot believe such hotel requires parking fee. Also, access to the swimming pool is also an extra charge. I can understand extra charge for spa but swimming pool should be free.
