NH Dortmund

Very good hotel, actually nh is always at the proper level. But what I really want to tell is the absolutely fantastic staff in this nh Dortmund. The best I have ever seen. And the top of the top is Chotiwit. Wow! Incredible professional guy! We were stayiyng 3 night and I always had some questions or small issues to solve. And Chotiwit was there to explain, support, solve. And he did everything somehow in the magic way, I couldn't belive it's possible to be such a helper. And what is also has to be mentioned. There were always so many people at the reception that I simply don't understand how he could/can energy for everyone. All in all, thank you, Chotiwit and nh Dortmund for our good comfortable stay.

Everything was Ok. Maybe the one I would like to add is there aren't enogh chairs or seats at the reception.

Perfect location for the station - we'd arrived late from London and had a connecting train to Denmark, via Cologne, early the following morning - with the hotel entrance being less than 5 minutes walk from the platform. The kind receptionist upgraded us to a lovely corner suite where a welcome gift awaited us! The rooms were spacious, quiet and appropriately furnished with large windows overlooking the city on two sides of the room. If we'd been there on business, we'd have used the convenient desk in the living room. All in all, it was delightful. Highly recommended, especially for overnight stopovers for passengers on long-distance train journeys to Scandinavia (please note 'Man @ Seat61.com ' !)

We arrived too late to enjoy the downstairs bar and left too early for what looked like an excellent breakfast.

The room was spacious and clean, and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. We paid 16.9 EUR per person, but it was totally worth it. There was a variety of options and they were all delicious. The location was also perfect, just a few minutes walk from the central train station and city center.

Soundproofing was not that good, so I could hear the sound of cars and their horns at night. I had to sleep with earplugs. There were no coffee/tea making facilities in the room. There was no electrical outlet in the bathroom.

The hotel just few steps to the HBF train station like less than 100 m. the room was huge and the bathroom is big too. There is a couch inside the bathroom, the tv you can turn around 2side. There are free coffee machine at the lobby. The front desk young guy recommend a good steak restaurant for us and we went there...very yummy (I forgot the name of the place and didn't ask for his name too). Can walk 10 mins to there which also near the shopping area. Would stay here again.

The breakfast was quite good with a nice selection of teas. Also there is a coffee machine corner available at all times near the reception free of charge. The stuff was very nice and the rooms don’t have those ugly carpets, instead there is a wooden floor.

Only the sound that was produced by the floor while walking and the fact that the suite didn’t actually have the possibility to close the door to the common area of the room.

The hotel is situated right next to the central station and it is only a 10 minute walk to the city center (or one of). The room and the other areas were clean and well maintained. The breakfast is abundant and with a wide selection of assortments. Our room had a magnificent view of Dortmund. The staff is friendly and helpful. Overall the experience was very pleasant and worth the price.

It was my second time there, nice rooms with working area, friendly and helpful staff, nice underground parking (paid extra), good breakfast. Great for business and pleasure (close to the city centre), a lot of restaurants and bars in the area.

I had a corner room this time, and it was actually smaller than standard room, not sure if it is worth to pay extra. Everything else was perfect.

the description of the rooms is misleading. I wanted two separate bedrooms and was led to believe this was the case from the description. in fact it’s one bedroom and a sofa bed in the seating area. Neither bed is a single as described they are both doubles. The photos are accurate but the room description really needs to be updated to reflect the reality.

All expectations met. We were upgraded to nicer and larger room and baby crib awaited us in the room.

1. No slippers available, despite asking receptionist. 2. Was charged more for parking fee than daily price stated on this site with explanation that this is caused by exiting the parking lot more frequently than twice, for the duration of our stay. 3. Room made unavailable even before our check-out, which was as per hotel stated timings. (cause we went out in the morning & came back to check-out)

Hotel is ideally located next to the train station (just drop off your bags and go) and close to the the pedestrian shopping area and restaurants. In general, we like NIH hotels because they offer more space (separate sleeping and living areas) and are usually well located, and this one did not disappoint. Our room was large, quiet and comfortable. AC and wifi worked well. Ask for a room away from the street which can be quite noisy.
