Radisson Blu Hotel Dortmund

If you're travelling to Dortmund and want a good business class hotel then this is for you. The staff were friendly and helpful and the rooms are comfortable and well appointed. The breakfasts were very good. Parking is available at a charge but fills up if BvB are playing which is something to consider. There's easy access to the city via the U-bahn which is a 5 minute walk away. The swimming pool and steam room is very pleasant and not utilised much, so a nice area to spend a couple of hours relaxing. 'Ginger' the house bar / restaurent has a nice vibe and the food is good, though the menu seems to be a bit limited compared to last year.

Our room had definitely had people smoking in it which wasn't pleasant, but the staff freshened it up while we went out. The Sauna rooms had also gone tech and were out of service while we were there.

Room was spacious and luxurious, nice bathroom with good rain shower, shaving mirror, hair dryer. Enough power sockets in logical places. Great dinner in the bar with a small but really good quality menu. Broad choices in breakfast and good quality.

room seemed to have been used not that much, so the air was not that fresh, but that happens more in big hotels. However, the ventilation grill in the bathroom was very dusty. Not OK. I forgot to mention that at checkout, so no comment on how the issue was solved.

The location next to the Westfalenstadium (Signal Iduna Park) is fantastic if you're going to a match, but also close to the U-Bahn for easy access across Dortmund. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was outstanding. We had dinner a couple of times in the Bar/Restaurant (Ginger) and the food was very good. It was also lovely to use the sauna & pool after a day of 37 degrees or so.

Nothing really - the bar was very full on match day and breakfast the next day, but that was expected and helped make the atmosphere - though it of course slowed down the service (which remained good).

The pool and sauna facilities were incredible. Pool is huge! Saunas and steam baths were a delight theres just so much you can do. The breakfast buffet was delicious, you can even order pancakes as part of the buffet! The room was also lovely, very comfortable and clean.

We had booked a room with a king size bed and a bathtub, it needed to be changed twice at the hotel as firstly they gave us a room with two single beds and the second room didn’t have a bath tub. At the end the concierge sorted it out so that was good.

Clean, comfortable room, minor problem with sink was solved as soon as I let the staff know about it, quiet, complimentary drinks (water, tea, coffee) and a kettle in the room. I was attending an even at Westfallenhallen and the hotel was in a walkable distance from that, but if you want to go to the city centre, it’s slightly longer walk or you should use public transport.

The restaurant’s a la carte service, but the breakfast was great!

Very good location for BVB fans travelling to see the game; far away from the city centre. The best asset of this hotel are employees, especially at the reception desk. Special thanks to Laresa (I hope I noted the name correctly). Very helpful even in regards to most ridiculous requests. Breakfasts - average. Hotel in general requires refreshment - probably it was absolutely great 20 years ago.

The staff was extremely friendly, the room was nice and beautiful view. The spa was exceptional! The pool so big omg.. just love it!! The stay was too short for us... hahaha!

The parking was €10 per night, would have been nice if that was complementary, the steambath was out of order unfortunately, so we have to come back for that.. in the morning the neighbors were talkin to eachother in the hallway in front of our room, that was disturbing, but this is nothing that the hotel can fix...

Comfortable beds, well equiped spa, great location in front of the westfalen park. Hotel has a big swiming poll with optimal water temperature. Cold sandwiches, sweats, juices, coffee and water avaliable 24/7 in the mini market at reception with reasonable prices

Room temperature was below the optimal, radiators in the room are a bit small for the room size. Since it's location, there is not enough lighting around and especially on the street that comes of the main road and leads to the hotel, so it's a little bit "freaky" in the evening if you go by walk from u-bahn to the hotel

The wellness center is great , pool, sauna , gym . very clean . rooms quite standard , breakfast is good . The area around the hotel very green and nice.

I was overcharged for the parking and the customer services have answered that I should send my card details for the refund , since then , they disappeared . no one answer to my emails. While the check in we haven't receive any information , the staff just gave us a paper with the instruction and that's it .

everything seemed to run like clockwork whatever the time of day, lots of choice at breakfast and meal in restaurant portion was huge, very good food. One of the bigger pools to use and lots of towels available. Overall a lovely stay with a nice big room with a lovely view of the tower. Would go to this hotel again :)
