Hotel am Badersee

Serene location, beautiful lake view, fantastic food, specially desert at the end of dinner is awesome. Though I am halal food eater, I didn’t find any difficulty regarding food. Morning breakfast used to be fantastic which keeps you going for the whole day. Dinner starts at 6 pm and the spread is awesome. Every day variety of fish, vegetarian food and much more to offer. Friendly staff, clean hotel, nice gym to workout and then nice tea at the sauna station. You can have a nice view of lake, sit with loved ones on the bench which is next to lake. If you are hiker and love to do sports, there you go, you can go for hiking and enjoy your evening.

The Badersee behind the hotel was a great view and place to relax and enjoy the nature. You could also enjoy the view while having your breakfast from the terrace of the hotel. One could easily get to Lake Eibsee by bus which was just a few steps away from the hotel. Everything was clean and the hotel staff was very kind and helpful which sums up that it was a very good service. We loved the sauna and the huge lounge. Not to forget the amazing choice of breakfast you had there, just yummy!

The only thing missing was a mini refrigerator and/or small kitchen or just a kettle with tea and coffee. Therefore I find it a little too expensive.

My wife and I stayed over the long Easter weekend at the hotel. We were impressed by the warm and friendly welcome of the staff. They were always available to assist with any request or question we had. The quality of the food was very good, and I was impressed by the variety and freshness of the dishes served at each meal. The restaurant staff were also extremely attentive, ensuring that our dining experience was always enjoyable. Same goes for the nice people at the Talstation bar. Our room was spacious, with comfortable beds and all the amenities that we needed. The view of the lake from the room was breathtaking, and we enjoyed spending time on the balcony, taking in the beautiful surroundings. The spa was cozy and clean, with the snow room adding a nice touch to the sauna experience. Overall, I would highly recommend the Hotel am Badersee to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay in the Garmisch and Zugspitze area.

The pillows were too thin

Two middle aged couples on an 18-day 12 hotel road trip thru DE-CH-IT-CH-DE. This was our 2nd stop. Located in a nice secluded area it was quiet and restful after a day's driving. And a special thank you to Angelika at the bar who took excellent care of us during the night. Super service. We will return.

Being the most expensive hotel of the 12, I did expect a little more than we got. Nice staff in general. They handed out vouchers which turned out to be discounts at the local shops and not a discount for the Zugspitze ride.

The location of the hotel is really beautiful, the lake is small but nice to walk around. The breakfast buffet was great and had a lot of options. The sauna was also amazing, they even had a snow/ice room! The room was also really nice. We had a few drinks in the bar and it was really cozy, also good price.

We couldn’t find the vending machines and the bar with the games.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Everyone was so kind to us. Room was spacious and comfortable with a surprising choice of pillows. Beautiful location even though the weather didn't cooperate for us (rainy!!). Food was good and the restaurant staff was efficient and helpful. Would definitely stay here again!

Lots of amenities that were unexpected like the spa and the rentable bikes and billiards room. Staff was very helpful and kind and went out of their way to help. Lake outside was beautiful. So close to hiking trails you can just walk to neighboring town and right up mountain.

Maybe more towels given in the day.

the view from our room was amazing. from the balcony, we could see the lake and the mountains. the breakfast was great and so was lunch. we did not eat dinner there. the room was very comfortable with plenty of space. no complaints about the room.

the parking was strange. it’s advertised as free, but there are very few free spots available so we wound up paying for the garage, which was only 8 euro (not bad really). also some of the elevators weren’t working and no one helped us with our bags.

Everything was amazing! The location is perfect, we got a lake view room, absolutely recommended. The breakfast was really tasty and versatile, there is a spa with a view and a possibility to book massages for a reasonable price. The room itself was nicely decorated, comfortable with a spacious balcony. The restaurant has a nice view as well and good service. The front desk employee (I believe the name was Cosmin) was really nice and helpful with everything, made our stay better!!

We didn’t get a chance to go to the bar with the fireplace as nor enough people were staying at the hotel. It was honestly one od the selling points for us.

1. The staff is friendly and helpful. 2. The hotel is modern and stylish. 3. The dinner and breakfast were exceptional. 4. We really enjoyed the spa area with 2 saunas, a snow room and a small pool. Complimentary tea and apples were a great bonus!
