Hotel Central

The personnel is amazing. I checked in late, had lost some info I needed them to put on the receipt -they stayed patient and professional. All spoke English well and were helpful. Bedroom is the bare minimum, but the bathroom had obviously been renovated in the past years. Everything was kept clean. For the price, it's an excellent place to go to visit Heidelberg or go to an EMBL conference (close to all buses).

The floor is made of old carpet that triggered some serious allergies. No AC meant sleeping with an open window, which forced me to put some earplugs on (a few drunk ppl, as you would expect close to a train station). I regretted not having a kettle.

Staff was super nice and kind. Location is perfect, close to Central station and to many trams and buses possibilities. The room was as described, big enough and very tidy.

The bathroom had a hair dryer which worked for a few seconds and then would stop. Also, when taking a shower, there was a lot of water going to the other side so that was a bit annoying (glass containing water was too short in this room).

Very good hotel, central location (the street was actually quiet during night, I don’t get the opinions complaining about noise). Had a ventilator in case of heat, but night was actually quite cold so opening window was enough. Interior was very nice, looked recently renovated. Very good bathroom.

Didn’t look like a fancy hotel, price could be a bit lower, however it was a very good accommodation. A bit weird park nearby with unpeaceful/homeless? people who you can expect close to train stations, but they didn’t seem threatening. Saw a police intervention there though

Location is close to train station on walkable distance. Room was comfortable and reasonable size. I liked the decoration of hall. It's like a small antique shop. Free coffee is offered in the hall.

Reception didn't speak English. However it was still easy to communicate.

We were late due to defect train, phoned if we were still coming and offered a solution also for arrival after 22:00 hours. The hotel is ideal for train travellers because opposite the station. Heavy traffic in the street but well isolating windows.

No water kettle for coffe/tea

The room was small but for a single person ok. The shower was good and the room quiet.

No bar in the evening and no staff after 9pm. If your flight or train was delayed, what then? Oh, and the telly didn't work, but I was only in the room for short visits.

Small room but clean and fairly quiet

No one at the reception when we came, and this is pretty much the same every time we ha e stayed at this hotel. Always a challenge he to get the keys. Also price for parking went from 7euros/night to 15!

Easy, quick and friendly check in and uncomplicated quick check out. Staff was super friendly 👍 Room and bathroom were clean and tidy. Location was really nice, just a 5 minute walk from the main train station

Building/hotel has definitely seen better days. Old style interior that looks a bit rough and old when you look more closely. Elevator gives you a nostalgic feeling back to the early 90s. My room was facing the street where really loud buses would wake me up early mornings as they drove by (No AC in the room so had to keep window open over night)

I traveled to Heidelberg for work and needed a quiet place to rest after a long days' work. I got a cozy, one-bed room, with all amenities needed for a good nights' rest. Close to the train station, and walking distance to the city center. Some supermarkets close by. Room was clean, neat and functional, nothing too fancy or kitschy. WiFI worked well and the staff were friendly and helpful.

It was a bit loud at night (noise coming from other rooms and from the road outside). The door lock is basic, the doors are pretty thin and they lock with a normal key which made them feel a bit unsafe.

For the price and the location and the helpfulness of the staff i cant complain,maybe a small bar with a cold beer or 2
